The Italian Football Association (FIGC) informed that the UEFA Euro 2020 Quarterfinal Italy vs Belgium got the most viewers since the beginning of the tournament. Almost 3 out of 4 Italians were following the action in Munich: a share rate of 73.4%.   In few words, an Italy match had not attracted as many viewers since the start of UEFA EURO 2020.

In fact, using the data recorded by Sky Sport and Rai together, the Italian team game had a share rate of 73.4%, reaching a total of 17,439,000 viewers on television.

Getting down to the specifics, the game was followed by 15,483,000 people on Rai, accounting for 65.2% of shares. On Sky Sport 1, meanwhile, Mancini’s boys were watched by 1,956,000 people, accounting for 8.2% of the total shares.

The Italian Football Association (FIGC) informs that Italy midfielder Leonardo Spinazzola was Italy’s MVP from the UEFA Euro 2020 Quarterfinals Belgium 1 – 2 Italy.   Spinazzola,  28-year-old, received 37.45% of the votes on the fan poll on the FIGC website, ahead of Lorenzo Insigne (18.53%) and Gianluigi Donnarumma (17.76%).   Sadly, Spinazzola suffered a severe injury and left the pitch on tears.   Italy qualified to the Semifinals against Spain on Tuesday  July in Wembley.

As stated by the FIGC, Spinazzola’s performance was very much in keeping with the high standards that he  has set thoughout the Euro 2020.  A display replete with dedication and self-sacrifice. He was decisive on the hour mark when he blocked Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku’s attempt from very close range. Furthermore, he was a constant outlet for the Azzurri down the left flank and came close to scoring with a volleyed effort after 65 minutes.

This is a boost for England after having only reached one European Championship semifinal in their history in 1996. Ukraine Coach and ex AC Milan player Andriy Shevchenko suffering a tough defeat with a poker.  Total merite goes for England previously losing just one of their seven games with Ukraine in all competitions with a 0-1 in October 2009 in a World Cup qualifier. Stats: 4 wins, 2 draws, 1 lost. The last two games have finished with a draw, with this the first game since September 2013 in Kiev ending 0-0.
