Inter failing to win the Champions League Group Stage Group D Matchday 1 game against Real Madrid on Wednesday 15 September 2021 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy. Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has faced Carlo Ancelotti on two previous occasions in his coaching career: his Lazio were beaten at home and away by Ancelotti’s Napoli in the 2018-19 Serie A season, losing 2-1 in Serie A. both matches.
