Hello, friends!   Check out the Italian Serie A Week 33 Results Live Scores happening on Saturday 19, Sunday 20, and Wednesday 23 April 2025.  The four matches planned for Monday (Torino v Udinese, Cagliari v Fiorentina, Genoa v Lazio and Parma v Juventus) were postponed due to the passing of Pope Francis, and they took place on Wednesday, April 23.  On Monday morning, the Vatican shared the sad news that Pope Francis passed away at 88, just after being released from the hospital where he received treatment for an infection for five weeks.

✅   What’s happening in Round 33?

Both Inter and Napoli are in a tight race for the Scudetto, currently sitting at 71 points each. Napoli faced a challenging match but ultimately secured a crucial victory, thanks to the reliable Scott McTominay.

Bologna triumphed over Inter with a score of 1 – 0, slowing down Inter’s chase for the Scudetto at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium. What a thrilling game! Bologna’s victory was vital in preventing Inter from catching up to Napoli. Now, both Napoli and Inter are level at 71 points at the top of the standings. With only five matches left, the race for the Scudetto is incredibly exciting!

Monza 0 – 1 Napoli. Napoli had a tough match but clinched an important win, thanks to the dependable Scott McTominay. Politano made an impressive run, and even though Turati made a save, he later set up McTominay, who netted his ninth goal of the season with a header. Monza is still in a difficult position, battling to stay out of Serie B.

Atalanta (64 points) triumphed over Milan (51 points), securing their position in the Champions League zone, while Milan struggles. Ederson’s goal proved to be the turning point. Milan’s response was lackluster, managing to stay competitive until the end, thanks in part to a stellar performance from Maignan and a significant mistake by Retegui. Nevertheless, Atalanta emerged victorious and is soaring high. Milan 0 – 1 Atalanta.

Empoli and Venezia ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw. This match was vital for both teams’ hopes of staying in the league, with Empoli sitting in 19th place and Venezia just above them in 18th, both on 25 points. The excitement kicked off in the second half when Fazzini scored for Empoli, with Henderson providing the assist. Venezia responded quickly, with Yeboah leveling the score after a corner, thanks to Vasquez’s involvement. In a dramatic finish, Busio helped Venezia take the lead, but Anjorin answered back with a spectacular curling shot from outside the box, sealing the match at 2-2.

Italian Serie A

Roma triumphed 1-0 over Hellas Verona, comfortably managing the game with few difficulties, even though they let their rivals dominate possession for long stretches. Hellas, however, found it hard to pose any real danger near Svilar. In the second half, the best chances fell to Mosquera, who almost found the net in the 52nd minute, striking the left post, and Dovbyk, who nearly extended the lead with a close-range effort.

The race for the Scudetto seems to be slowing down a bit. Inter reached 71 points keeping the 1st place after defeating Cagliari with a 3-1. Inter increased its lead in the standings to 3 points ahead of the second-place team. Cagliari remains at 30 points. In the first half, Inter dominated, with goals from Arnautovic and Lautaro Martinez. However, Piccoli quickly brought Cagliari back into the game in the second half. Shortly after, Bisseck restored Inter’s two-goal advantage. In the closing moments, the home team managed the game effectively, fending off any threats from the Sardinians.

Napoli secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against Empoli, who are struggling to avoid relegation. With Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku at the forefront, the home team maintained their pursuit of Serie A leaders Inter Milan. As the second-placed team, Napoli faced mounting pressure following Inter’s 3-1 win over Cagliari at home. With only six matches left in the season, they find themselves three points behind Inter, sitting at 68 points.  A significant win! Atalanta secures three points by defeating Bologna 2-0, reclaiming third place and surpassing Juventus. Retegui and Pasalic found the back of the net. As a result, Bologna drops to fifth place, now behind Juventus.

AC Milan has achieved a much-needed victory after going three games without a win, bringing their total to 51 points in the league standings. Milan crushed Udinese with a poker at the Bluenergy. This win is particularly encouraging as they are now just one point behind eighth-placed Fiorentina and four points shy of sixth-placed Lazio, which holds the final qualifying spot for the upcoming European cups.  On the other hand, Udinese suffered their fourth consecutive defeat, remaining in tenth place with 40 points, and they could be overtaken by Genoa if the rossoblù manage to defeat Verona.

What a thrilling encounter! The Derby della Capitale wrapped up with a 1-1 draw, meaning the bragging rights in Rome are shared. Lazio struck first with a header from Alessio Romagnoli, who capitalized on a free kick taken by Pellegrini. The Giallorossi responded with Soulé, who leveled the score with a stunning curling shot from long range. The match was intense and rough, and in the end, both teams walked away with a draw that didn’t serve either well.

Juventus secured a 2-1 victory over Lecce, gaining three vital points in their quest for a Champions League spot. The scoring opened just two minutes into the match with Teun Koopmeiners finding the net, followed by Yildiz extending the lead in the 33rd minute, both assists coming from Dušan Vlahović. Lecce’s Baschirotto managed to pull one back with a header in the 87th minute.

Venezia v Monza.  Venezia have not won in 14 league games (8D, 6P) – the last success of the Venetians in Serie A dates back to 22 December against Cagliari (2-1 at home)

Como secured a victory with a strong performance, highlighted by Douvikas’ goal in the 38th minute of the first half. The excitement peaked in the closing moments when Ilic had a goal ruled out during stoppage time. With this win, Como has now achieved two consecutive victories, bringing their total to 36 points and solidifying their position in 13th place.

Italian Serie A

The game between Fiorentina and Parma concludes without any goals. The Viola miss the chance to secure a victory, remaining just shy of the Champions League spots, while the Crociati make a slight move towards safety. The match lacked excitement, with a focus on defense and impressive performances from both goalkeepers. The final score is a 0-0 draw, resulting in one point for each team. In the upcoming round, Fiorentina will take on Cagliari, while Parma will go up against Juventus.

Two goals in time for Milan, who after touching the advantage with Reijnders after not even a minute, finds the 1-0 at 42 ‘with the first intention shot from the edge of the Leao area, which sends the ball under the crossing on the Assist of Fofana. Only three minutes pass and the Rossoneri doubles with Pavlovic shoulder deviation on Pulisic corner. Strahinja Pavlovic struck from a short distance, sending the ball into the upper center of the net. Christian Pulisic provided the assist with a cross following a corner given away by Jaka Bijol. After Pulisic’s corner was played back, he made a shoulder pass to Pavlovic, who took his moment and beat Okoye.

Udinese encountered further difficulties when Milan scored again in the 74th minute. Theo Hernández delivered a stunning left-footed shot into the top left corner, thanks to an assist from Tammy Abraham. Leao made a vertical pass to Abraham, who then laid the ball off for Hernández, enabling him to charge into the area and fire a strong shot past Okoye at the near post.

No further explanation needed! Milan wrapped up the match with a goal in the 81st minute, as Tijjani Reijnders scored with a left-footed shot directed at the high center. Rafael Leão was the one who assisted. Abraham switched the play to the left for Leão, who managed to control it and, with Okoye rushing out, passed it to Reijnders, who simply pushed it into the net.
