Italian Soccer Serie A

👉    Hello, my friends. Here are the 2022-2023 Italian Serie A Week 35 RESULTS / Thirty-fifth Round on Friday 12, Saturday 13, Sunday 14, and Monday 15 May 2023

✅   Here is the situation: 👉🏆🇮🇹      Napoli won the 2022-23 Serie A Scudetto on Thursday 4 May 2023 after the 1-1 draw with Udinese.

Verdict – Relegation.  After 11 seasons in Serie A, Sampdoria is arithmetically relegated to Serie B 2023-24 after losing the Serie A Week 34 against Udinese.

Verdict – Promotion:  Two Serie B teams are already promoted to the Serie A 2023-24: Frosinone and Genoa.

Monza achieved a prestigious victory defeating Italy’s Champions at the U-Power Stadium.  Napoli suffered the fourth defeat in the league returning to lose more than a month after the home defeat against Milan for 0-4. Now Spalletti’s team can no longer be defeated if they want to reach at least 90 points. Monza got the seventh consecutive useful result and continues the run-up to eighth place, remaining level on points with Fiorentina and Torino, waiting for Bologna, which by winning against Roma would reach the group at 49.

Empoli got a late equalizer against Sampdoria “already relegated” which mean arithmetic salvation.

As presented by Opta stats via Lega Serie A.  Lazio forward Ciro Immobile scored again at home, in Serie A TIM, 243 days (612 minutes) after the last one, scored against Verona, on 11 September last.     Lazio 2 – 2 Lecce

Remi Oudin is only the third French player to score at least two goals at the Olimpico against Lazio in Serie A, after Paul Pogba (two, in November 2014) and Thierry Henry (two, in April 1999), both with Juventus.

Salernitana has remained unbeaten in the last six home league games (W3, D3) for the first time since the period between February and May 1999 (six in that case too).

For the first time under the management of Gian Piero Gasperini, Atalanta have conceded goals in 10 consecutive matches in a single Serie A TIM tournament.

Przemyslaw Wiśniewski’s is the first goal scored by a Spezia defender in this championship: Petko Hristov scored the last in the competition more than a year ago (April 30, 2022 vs Lazio).

Milan finished two games in a row without scoring in all competitions for the first time since last January – even then the first of the two meetings was a derby loss against Inter (0-3 in EA SPORTS Supercup, then 0- 4 in Serie A TIM vs Lazio).

Against no team, Romelu Lukaku has scored more multiple goals than against Sassuolo in Serie A TIM (two braces like against Benevento and Genoa).

Inter have won their last seven games counting all competitions. The last time the Nerazzurri achieved multiple wins in a row in a single season was between February and April 2021 (nine in that case).

Torino have won three consecutive away games without conceding a goal in Serie A for the first time since March 1970.

Nikola Vlasic is the third Croatian midfielder to score at least five goals in his first season in Serie A TIM after Mario Pasalic (five in 2016/17) and Ivan Perisic (seven in 2015/16).

For the first time in this championship, Fiorentina have closed two games in a row at home without conceding a goal.

Udinese is the team against which Gaetano Castrovilli has been involved in the most goals in Serie A TIM (five: three goals and two assists).

Monza are the first newly promoted side to score 49 points after 35 Serie A matches since Verona in 2013/14 (52 points).

All four of Napoli’s defeats in this Serie A TIM season have come in 2023, and in all four they have failed to score.

Roma’s starting lineup with an average age of 25 years and 34 days is the youngest starting XI fielded by José Mourinho in his Serie A career.

Bologna have drawn three home games in a row in Serie A TIM for the first time since March 2016, in that case with Roberto Donadoni in charge.

Juventus (21) is the team that has scored the most goals with players born after 2000 in this Serie A TIM season.

Only Barcelona (25) have obtained more clean sheets than Juventus (19, like Lazio) in the top five European tournaments 22/23.

Sampdoria is the team that has conceded the most goals in added time (eight).

Roberto Piccoli has scored five of his seven Serie A goals coming into the current game, including all three most recently.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Spezia, 18th position with 27 points and a negative goal difference of -28
AC Milan, 5th position with 61 points and a positive goal difference of +16

Spezia win the Serie A Week 35 game on Saturday 13 May 2023 at the Alberto Picco Stadium in Milan, Italy.    Spezia returned to victory after two months thanks to goals from Przemyslaw Wisniewski and Salvatore Esposito in the second half. Milan suffered another blow and fell again after the Euroderby. In the standings, three heavy points for Spezia who grab Verona at 30, waiting for the Scala. Milan stopped at 61, the Champions League area moving away. In the next round, Milan-Sampdoria and Lecce-Spezia.

Surely, a prestigious victory for Spezia who were knocked out last week in Cremona while Milan defeated in the UEFA Champions League Semifinal first leg of the Euroderby.

Spezia opened the score in the 75th minute. Przemyslaw Wisniewski defeated AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan from very close range with a right-footed shot to the high center following a corner conceded by Sandro Tonali.

Spezia having a great time scoring another goal in the 85th minute. Salvatore Esposito scored with a right-footed free kick shot to the top left corner.

✅   Stats before the game: Spezia and Milan have never drawn any of the six matches played so far, considering all competitions: in the partial, four wins for the Rossoneri (three in Serie A, including the first leg match last November, and one in the Coppa Italia) and two for the Ligurians (both in the top tournament). Leonardo Semplici’s Spezia have not won in eight league games (D3, L5) and could remain without a win for more games in a row for the first time in Serie A (eight also between November 2020 and January 2021, with Vincenzo Italiano on the bench). Spezia have failed to find a goal in 10 of the 19 matches played in 2023 – as many as in all 34 played in 2022 in Serie A – since they were promoted to the top tournament (2020/21), only Sampdoria have collected more games (40) without scoring compared to the Ligurians (34). Milan is the team that has earned fewer points in percentage terms of the total in the standings than all the other opponents in 2023: only 46%, or 28 out of the 61 overall. Milan collected 23 points in the second round of this championship, the result of six wins and five draws (4P); the last time the Rossoneri had accumulated fewer points in the first 15 games of the second half of the season in Serie A was in 2016/17, with Vincenzo Montella as coach: 20 points (W5, D5, L5) and sixth place in standings at the end of the tournament.

👉 Lineup SPEZIA (4-3-3): Drągowski; Amian, Ampadu, Wiśniewski, Nikolaou; Esposito, Ekdal, Bourabia; Reca, Nzola, Gyasi.

👉 Lineup AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Kalulu, Kjær, Tomori, Hernández; Tonali, Pobega; Saelemaekers, Díaz, Origi; Rebić.
