Napoli crushing Udinese winning the Serie A Week 4 game at the Dacia Arena.  Napoli who were in the 4th position climb as sole leader of the Serie A with 12 points being the only team winning all 4 games in this season. This is a historical victory for Napoli because in two leagues in a row for the first time in Serie A, Napoli win their first 4 games.  Merits also for Coach Luciano Spalletti winning all of the first four Serie A matches of the season for the second time in his career, after 2017/18 with Inter.

Inter win in grand style the Serie A Week 4 game defeating Bologna at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadiumy. Inter survived the pressure to win to climb the Serie A Standing and it seems Bologna forgot how to play. We might even ask whether Bologna Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic prepared for this game. Humiliation! It was all party for Inter!

Salernitana failing to win the Serie A Week 4 game against Atalanta at the Arechi Stadium in Salerno, Italy. Salernitana are in the last position and still not winning a game this season.    Atalanta have achieved 13 wins and 3 draws in their last 15 Serie A matches against newly promoted formations and have not lost against any of them since November 2018 (3-2 defeat in Empoli).

Sassuolo lost the home game at the Mapei Stadium. Torino causing an upset and grab this important away victory defeating Sassuolo. Torino reach now 6 points while Sassuolo remain with 4 points.  Sassuolo have only won in one of their last 10 Serie A games with Torino (2-1 success at home in January 2020).

Fiorentina  defeating Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.  Fiorentina with the third consecutive victory reaching 9 points.  Genoa resisted until the 60th minute.  Genoa scored an honor goal in extremis with Domenico Criscito converting a penalty in the 98th minute.  It’s an important away victory for Fiorentina and motivation for the team showing confidence and the good strategy by Coach Vincenzo Italiano.  Genoa suffering their third consecutive defeat.

Empoli failing to win against Sampdoria at the Carlo Castellani Stadium in Empoli, Italy.  The last time Empoli won against Sampdoria in Serie A was in May 2019 in Genoa with a 2-1.    Sampdoria grabbing this important away victory  with a 0-3 to reach 5 points while Empoli remain with 3 points.   Empoli have not beaten Sampdoria at home in a Serie A match since January 2007 (2-0 thanks to goals from Saudati and Matteini, with Luigi Cagni on the bench): two draws and three defeats for Empoli in the last five against Sampdoria to Castellani.

The moment for Spezia to claim this away victory winning in extremis the game defeating Venezia at the Penzo Stadium.   Venezia failing to win two consecutive Serie A games for the first time since April 1999, with Walter Novellino at the helm (wins over Cagliari and Piacenza in that case). Before the game, Spezia have won two of the four matches played against newly promoted teams in Serie A (1N, 1P): 3-0 away against Benevento in November 2020 and 3-2 at home against Crotone last April.

AS Roma failing to have  a perfect start losing the Serie A Week 4 game defeated by Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy.   Verona claiming their first win this season beating favorites Roma.   Verona have lost both their first two home league matches, never in their history in Serie A have they recorded three defeats in their first three Serie A home games of the season. Thus, the pressure is high for Verona.  The victory helped Verona leave the relegation zone climbing from the 19th to the 14th position.

The big duel famous Derby between Juventus and AC Milan ending the Serie A Week 4 game with a draw at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy.  The pressure was for both, more for Juventus who are “unbelievable” down in the relegation zone in the 18th position with just 2 points.  AC Milan failed to win their 4th consecutive game.  We might say it is a fair result.   Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri facing his ex-team AC Milan….
