The big clash for the leadership. Napoli defeated Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium. Surely, a precious victory for Napoli now with 35 points meaning +8 points over Atalanta. Napoli won in a comeback and consolidates the top in the standings, beating even the second in the standings Atalanta. All the goals happened in the first half: advantage from Lookman’s penalty, Victor Osimhen’s header equalized, and Eljif Elmas scored the decisive goal.

AC Milan survived the pressure defeating Spezia in San Siro Stadium.   AC Milan are back in second place in the standings with 29 points, while Spezia remains at 9 points.  Undoubtedly, it was not an easy game, but a very intense game that lights up in the last half hour of the game. In the first half, Milan passed with Theo Hernandez.  In the second half, the ex-Milan Daniele Maldini equalized with a stupendous goal.  Ironically, Daniel Maldini scored in San Siro 5333 days after his father, Paolo Maldini, back in March, 30, 2008 in Serie A.    At the end, Olivier Giroud finds the winning goal in a half overhead, but gets sent off for a double yellow card after removing his shirt while celebrating.

Lazio win the Derby della Capitale  defeating AS Roma at the Olimpico.  Stats keep favoring Lazio winning now won the last three Serie A derbies against Roma played in the first round.   Lazio conquered the Derby with a decisive goal scored by Felipe Anderson. The result is unlocked in the 29th minute, the Brazilian in goal after a lightness by Ibanez. Zaniolo hits the crossbar in the 33rd minute. In the second half, opportunities for Smalling and Felipe Anderson.  At the end, the party is all for Lazio.

Juventus won the Derby d’Italia defeating Inter at the Allianz Stadium.  Great second half for Juventus, who won a direct match for the first time this season and overtake Inter and Roma in one fell swoop, climbing to fifth place and reaching 25 points. Inter remains at 24 and drops to seventh place, losing the fifth game out of 13 played. In the next round, Juventus will play away from home against Hellas Verona, while Inter will face Bologna.

Udinese and Lecce ended with a draw at the Dacia Arena. Lecce had the lead with Lorenzo Colombo’s goal and Udinese equalized with Beto. Lecce played an excellent game especially in the first half missing the doubling. Sottil’s team extends the unsuccessful streak to five consecutive days, Baroni’s team wins a point after the two defeats against Juventus and Bologna. In the next round, Udinese will play the away game against Spezia while Lecce will play at home with Atalanta.

Salernitana and Cremonese ended with a draw at the Arechi Stadium in Salerno, Italy. Cremonese remain in the last position with only 6 points compared to Salernitana with 17 points. Salernitana and Cremonese faced each other for the first time in Serie A. Piatek unlocked the result after just three minutes, Okereke equalized on 12 ‘, Coulibaly on 38’ brings the hosts back ahead. In the second half Ciofani scored the equalizer after a penalty saved by Sepe in the 89th minute. In the next round, Salernitana, an away match on Fiorentina’s field, Cremonese will play at home against AC Milan.

Empoli defeated Sassuolo at the Carlo Castellani Stadium. It is an important victory for Empoli which moves into the standings at 14 points and only one point behind Sassuolo with 15 points. A hard-fought game and with few scoring opportunities, it was unlocked in the second half by Baldanzi’s goal, able to control a ball served by Satriano. In the next round, Empoli will visit Napoli, while Sassuolo will host Roma.

Monza defeated Hellas Verona at the  U-Power Stadium.  Monza reached 13 points in the standings, a margin of seven over the third from last. Bad news for Hellas Verona remaining in the last position with 5 points less than 4 from salvation. Carlos Augusto unlocks it, Andrea Colpani closes it. Verona resisted until the 68th minute in ten men after Magnani was sent off in the first half.  In the end, a serious injury for Stefano Sensi, carried off the pitch with his arms after a broken entry by Sulemana.  In the next round, Monza will play against Lazio in Rome, while Hellas will host Juventus at the Bentegodi Stadium.

Fiorentina defeated Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.  Fiorentina confirmed themselves after the away victory with Spezia and after winning the passage of the round in the Conference League. Fiorentina reached 16 points.   Sampdoria navigates the dangerous areas of the standings, remaining in 18th place with just six points. The game unlocks in the fourth minute with a goal by Giacomo Bonaventura.  In the second half, the doubling arrives on a corner kick, with Biraghi’s cross towards the near post where Milenkovic scored with a headed shot finding the second consecutive goal in the league.  In the next round, Fiorentina will host Salernitana, while Sampdoria will play in Turin against Torino.

✅    Stats before the game:  Juventus could miss the appointment with the goal for two consecutive Serie A matches against Inter for the first time since 2010 (0-2 in April and 0-0 in October) – instead, we return to 1962/63 for the last time the Bianconeri lost without scoring two consecutive games against the Nerazzurri. Simone Inzaghi could become only the second coach in Inter history to win two Serie A away games against Juventus, after Helenio Herrera, who did so on three occasions between 1961 and 1965. Considering all the competitions and starting from his debut date as first team coach (April 2016), Simone Inzaghi has beaten Juventus seven times out of 18 comparisons (2D): he is the coach who has defeated Juventus several times in this period. Juventus have won their last three league games without conceding any goals:  Juventushave not slipped four consecutive clean sheets in Serie A since December 2018 (six in that case, with six wins without conceding any goals).

👉  Juventus (3-5-1-1): Szczesny; Danilo, Bremer, Alex Sandro; Cuadrado, Fagioli, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Miretti;  Milik.

👉  Lineup Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, De Vrij, Acerbi; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.

Bologna win the Serie A Week 13 game defeating Torino on Sunday 6 November 2022 at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy.   Bologna reached a milestone in winning their 900th game in Serie A.  This is the third consecutive victory for Bologna overtaking Empoli and Sassuolo to 16 points, one less than Torino and Salernitana. Juric’s team sees the streak of victories end and collects their fourth away defeat of the season. After going under in the first half, Bologna overturned the match in the second half and took home the three points.

Torino opened the score in the 26th minute. Referee Giua gave a penalty conceded by Jhon Lucumí after a foul on Aleksey Miranchuk. Sasa Lukic converted the penalty defeating Bologna goalkeeper with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

In the second half Thiago Motta changes the game with substitutions and in the 64th minute he reaped the fruits of his changes: Vignato crosses to the far post for the insertion of Riccardo Orsolini, who beats Milnkovic-Savic with a flying shot from two steps. Nine minutes later, two other substitutes make up Posch’s overtaking net: Lykogiannis crosses at the near post, Soriano extends the trajectory with his head and the rossoblù number 2 arrives at the far post and pushes the final 2-1 ball into the net.

✅   Stats before the game. Torino have remained unbeaten in nine of the last 10 Serie A matches against Bologna (3W, 6D), the only exception being 2-3 on 16 March 2019 at the Olimpico Grande Torino.  The last match between Bologna and Turin in Serie A ended with a goalless draw last 6 March – the rossoblù have not kept a clean sheet in two consecutive top league games against the grenade since the 1980s. Bologna and Turin have drawn all the last five Serie A matches at Dall’Ara – more generally the last away win for the grenade against the Emilians dates back to April 2016, 1-0 signed by Andrea Belotti in the 93rd minute. Two consecutive victories for Juric’s Torino: the granata have not struck three successes in a row in the same Serie A championship since March 2019, with Walter Mazzarri on the bench (matches won against Atalanta, Chievo and Frosinone).

Lazio win the Derby della Capitale valid for the Serie A Week 13 defeating AS Roma on Sunday 6 November 2022 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy.  Stats keep favoring Lazio winning now won the last three Serie A derbies against Roma played in the first round.   Lazio conquered the Derby with a decisive goal scored by Felipe Anderson. Lazio opened the score in the 29th minute. Felipe Anderson defeated AS Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio with a left footed shot to the bottom right corner.

✅   Stats before the game. In the era of three points to win, the match between Roma and Lazio is the one that has seen the most red cards in Serie A: 35 red cards in 56 matches – however there was only one red in the most recent six, received by Acerbi on May 15, 2021. After the 3-0 win in the second leg last season, Roma could get two clean sheets in a row against Lazio in Serie A for the first time since the 2013/14 season, in the first two Roman Derby in the top Rudi tournament Garcia. Lazio have won the last two Serie A derbies against Roma played in the first round, always scoring three goals: only once have Lazio won three consecutive matches against Roma in the first half of the top league, but in that occasion the challenges were not in consecutive seasons (1949/50, 1950/51 and 1952/53). Roma have lost only two of their last 24 Serie A games against Lazio as a host team (14W, 8D): 1-2 in March 2012 and 1-3 in April 2017 – the Giallorossi have achieved success in four of five most recent internal challenges (1D).
