Captain Manuel Locatelli carries Juventus on his shoulders, leading them to the Champions League. The Bianconeri triumph 3-2 at the Penzo against Venezia, thanks to a crucial penalty from the midfielder that relegates the Venetians to Serie B.

Locatelli steps up and secures Juventus’ fourth place. It was a fantastic performance from the man who represents this Juve, highlighted by a goal that at least preserves their dignity in a challenging season. He battles, takes on significant responsibility, and then celebrates with his fans.

The match begins poorly for Juventus, with Daniel Fila scoring just two minutes in. Unable to respond with their usual play, they rely on individual brilliance, particularly from Yildiz, who levels the score. Then Kolo Muani nets the goal that puts them ahead. In the second half, Juve appears to be in control, but at a crucial moment, they allow Haps to equalize, with the defense caught off guard. All their plans unravel, and a mistake by Nicolussi Caviglia on Conceicao tips the scales.

What a quick beginning! Venezia took the lead just 2 minutes in. Daniel Fila found the net with a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner. The assist came from Ridgeciano Haps. And we’re off, with Venezia already in front. A lovely interplay between Ellertsson and Haps led to Haps crossing to Fila, who volleyed it home. Juve’s defense was poorly positioned, allowing the Venetians to capitalize after a strong start.

Juventus leveled the score in the 25th minute. Kenan Yildiz found the net with a left-footed shot aimed at the bottom right corner. The assist came from Andrea Cambiaso. A throw-in in the attacking zone for the Bianconeri, Conceicao executes it quickly while the opposing defense is slow to regroup. Yildiz seizes the ball, confronts the defender, and takes a shot: Radu gets a touch on it, but it’s insufficient, and the match is tied once again. Juve holds on to its precious asset for a chance at Champions League qualification.

Juventus breaks the deadlock in the 31st minute. Randal Kolo Muani finds the net with a right-footed shot aimed at the center of the goal. The assist comes from Alberto Costa. Just six minutes later, Juventus manages to turn the match in their favor. Venezia’s defensive lapse leads to a poor clearance, allowing Conceicao to seize the ball and pass it to Alberto Costa. The ball is then played out to Kolo Muani, who fires a powerful shot from the right side of the box. Radu gets a touch on it, but it’s insufficient, and the Bianconeri take the lead.

Venezia leveled the score at 2-2 in the 55th minute. Ridgeciano Haps netted a left-footed shot from the center of the box into the top left corner. During a moment of possession for Juventus, Venezia managed to equalize, reigniting their hopes for survival. A long throw from the defense reached Doumbia, who sent the ball across the entire area without encountering any Juve defenders: Haps came in and scored against Di Gregorio.

Juventus took the lead in the 73rd minute. Manuel Locatelli successfully converted a penalty with a right-footed shot into the top right corner. The penalty was awarded after Hans Nicolussi Caviglia fouled Francisco Conceição in the box. It was a clear penalty for the Bianconeri as Nicolussi Caviglia arrived late on Conceição: the referee had no hesitation in awarding it. Captain Manuel Locatelli confidently approached the spot and scored, putting Juventus back in front.

Venezia’s last home victory against Juventus in Serie A was in April 1962; since that time, the Bianconeri have secured four wins and there have been two draws, including the latest match in December 2021, with the two teams not having drawn two consecutive games in Veneto since 1940.

In their last nine league matches, Venezia has never repeated the same outcome twice in a row (W2 D4 L3), with their most recent loss coming against Cagliari. Hellas secures a victory in Empoli, ensuring their survival while simultaneously relegating their opponents to Serie B. Bradaric breaks the deadlock after the first half ended 1-1, scoring with a close-range header from Tchatchoua’s assist.

Empoli’s drop to Serie B marked a notable moment in the 2024/25 Serie A season. The club, under the leadership of president Fabrizio Corsi, conveyed their disappointment while also showing a strong resolve to rebuild and progress. Unfortunately, the team’s performance in the closing matches of the season fell short of what was needed to maintain their position in Serie A, resulting in their relegation after four straight years in the top division.

For Lazio, the season concludes in the most disappointing manner, especially as they finish the match with ten players after Romagnoli’s red card (for putting his hands on the linesman during a moment of frustration).

Lecce gained the advantage in the 43rd minute. Lassana Coulibaly netted a goal with a right-footed strike from the center of the box into the bottom right corner, thanks to an assist from Nikola Krstovic. Lecce opens the scoring! Gila made an error while coming out and lost possession, allowing Giampaolo’s team to recover and advance towards the goal with Coulibaly, who skillfully maneuvered in and outsmarted goalkeeper Christos Mandas.
