Inter – Genoa

Serie A tickets

👉 Here is INTER vs GENOA preview for the Serie A Week 1 game on Saturday 21 August 2021 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy at 18:30.

This is a big challenge for new Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi to defend the Scudetto.  It’s a duel because Juventus will look to regain their dominion. Inter ended Juve’s dominance winning the Serie A in eleven years.  The pressure for Inzaghi is high because arguably the main Inter player Romelu Lukaku left the team to join Chelsea an also Achraf Hakimi joined PSG.   The objective for Inzaghi is for the moment to start the Serie A 2021-22 Season with a home victory at the Meazza. Question is whether Inzaghi will be at the level of former Inter Coach Antonio Conte.

The good news for Inter is that they managed to sign former AS Roma forward Edin Dzeko.  Lukaku’s absence is now to be filled.  Dzeko having a tough task to lead the team.  Dzeko has scored  85 goals in Serie A since his arrival in Italy. Dzeko have been involved in eight league goals against Genoa, his best record versus any Italian club. Dzeko will make his 200th Serie A appearance.

Genoa Coach Davide Ballardini is confident with his team to face Inter. Last year, Genoa achieved the 11th place in the standings. A motivation for Genoa is their preparation, Genoa dominated the Austrians of Wacker Innsbruck winning 4-1. Challenge now also for new Inter player Dutchman Dumfries (PSV), one of the revelations of the last Euro.  Genoa signed Trabzonspor scorer Caleb Ekuban and we have 90 minutes to play to see the performance of new players..

Stats in favor of Inter having 15 wins, 3 draws, and only 1 defeat in 19 games against Genoa at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.  Inter have dominated Genoa in the last three years, winning each of the last six games by at least two goals difference.  Genoa did not score a single goal in the last six games with Inter.

AC Milan – Inter

.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
AC Milan, 2nd position with 49 points and a positive goal difference of +20
Inter, 1st position with 50 points and a positive goal difference of +30

Here is the preview for the 174th Milan Derby in Serie A.  AC Milan and Inter dueling to win the Serie A Week 23 game on Sunday 21 February 2021 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy at 15:00.

Surely, it will be a thriller round because not only the bragging rights to rule in Milan is the motivation, but also because the victory will be for the first position in the Serie A.   Inter having 50 points and AC Milan 49 points.   AC Milan lost the leadership last week after losing the game against Spezia.  Inter took the leadership after defeating Lazio.   Stats showing Inter with 66 wins (including four in the last five matches), AC Milan with 52 wins, and 55 draws.

Milan can win both games in a single Serie A season against Inter for the second time in the last 15 years: previously they succeeded in 2010/11, 1-0 in the first leg and 3-0 in the return.
The previous occasion in which Milan and Inter met in Serie A and found themselves in the first two places in the standings was on 2 April 2011 (3-0 win for AC Milan season in which they won their last Scudetto).

Inter and AC Milan have collected a total of 99 points together in this league, 16 more than last season after 22 matches – at the same point in the tournament, the two teams only did better in 1950/51 (102 , considering three points per win from all time).
Milan have lost more Serie A matches in 2021 (three), compared to all of 2020 (two): the Rossoneri have recorded three knockouts in their last seven league games, as many as in the previous 41.

Inter have kept a clean sheet in their last two league away games: the last time they have not conceded a goal for three consecutive away games in a single Serie A season was in October 2012 (four in that case).

Inter are the fourth team in the last 60 seasons capable of scoring at least 54 goals after 22 Serie A matches this season, after Juventus 2013/14 (54), Lazio 2017/18 (57) and Atalanta 2019/20 (59).

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma can become the youngest player to cross the finish line of 200 Serie A appearances in the era of three points to win: with 21 years and 361 days he would shatter the previous record set by Gianluigi Buffon (24 years, 83 days).

The big ex is forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic playing for Inter and Milan.  Ibrahimovic has scored 10 goals in the Milan Derby in all competitions – 8 of these have come with AC Milan: since his debut with this shirt in 2010/11 it is the Rossoneri who have scored the most goals against a single opponent.

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku may become the first player in the era of three points to win to score in four Milan derbies in a row in Serie A; in general, the last one to succeed was Romeo Benetti, between 1972 and 1973.

Inter forward Lautaro Martínez has scored 11 goals in Serie A this season, at least two more than any other second-highest scorer per team in the current tournament.
