Hello my friends. Here is  the Serie A PREVIEW Week 37 on Saturday 23, Sunday 24, and Monday 25 May 2015.  There is only 1 more game after this round to end the 2014 – 2015 Serie A season.

Few things still to be defined in these 2 remaining games.  Let’s recap.  The clear fact is that Juventus already won the Scudetto with 4 games to spare and this week won also the Coppa Italia.

The second position is still to be defined.  This is why the Derby della Capitale  Lazio vs AS Roma on Monday 25 May is crucial.  There is only 1 point difference between the two   Roma having 67 points and Lazio 66 points.  Why is so relevant to get the 2nd position?  Well, it is important because it guarantees direct qualification to the Champions League next season.   In this category, mathematically speaking, Napoli with 63 points can still make it to the 2nd position.

Situation is tough because Napoli will go to the Juventus stadium to face Juventus “the Champions of Italy.”  Surely, coach Massimiliano Allegri won’t tolerate to lose his home game.  Most likely Allegri will use a similar lineup with so-called reserve players as he did with the Coppa Italia final against Lazio.   Up to Napoli to battle and cause the upset.

Another tough battle will be for a spot in Europa League next season.  Here is the situation.  In case of Napoli not making it to the 3rd position, then, mathematically speaking, Fiorentina, Genoa, Sampdoria, and Inter will have to win their respective games to keep the dream alive.  There are only 6 more available points including this week.    Problem will be for Genoa vs Innter as they are playing today in this direct match…..  A defeat for Inter means goodbye Europa.

4 Napoli Napoli 63 36 18 9 9 67 47 20
5 Fiorentina Fiorentina 58 36 16 10 10 55 44 11
6 Genoa Genoa 56 36 15 11 10 58 42 16
7 Sampdoria Sampdoria 54 36 13 15 8 45 39 6
8 Inter Milan Inter Milan 52 36 13 13 10 53 42 11

The sentence is already written for the 3 teams to be relegated next season: Cagliari, Cesena, and Parma.

The top scorer up to Round 36: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 20 goals

Hello my friends. Here is the Serie A PREVIEW for Week 34 on Saturday 2, Sunday 3, Monday 4, and Wednesday 6  May 2015 .

It’s a special round, red carpet…..   Yep.   Juventus might win their 4th consecutive Scudetto this Saturday  if they get a draw or victory against Sampdoria  at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.    Juventus need only 1 point to win despite the results of Lazio who are in the second position with  62 points.  The gap for the moment is for only 14 points.  There are only 4 more games after this round with a total of 12 available points.   Big challenge because Juventus is playing the away game against Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium and surely won’t be a passive spectator.

The Scudetto is already a Juventus done deal.  We are looking to see final sprint race towards the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th position.   Lazio with 62 points are ahead  for 1 point of AS Roma  who are following in the 3rd position with 61 points.

This round will be crucial for the Europa League as the race is still open:  Sampdoria will just need to defeat Juventus to remain in the 5th position which is the last spot to be in Europa League zone.   However, mathematically speaking, the other 4 teams with chances to make it in Europa in case of Juventus defeating Sampdoria or even with a draw are Genoa (50), Fiorentina (49), Torino (48), and Inter (48)

One thing is certain.  The only official team already relegated to Serie B is Parma.    Cagliari and Cesena both with 24 points are closer to relegation too.   Atalanta still  not saved and will look to defeat Lazio at the Atleti Azzurri D’Italia Stadium… won’t be easy because they are without leading forward German Denis who is suspended for 5 games.

Pressure in this round is for AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi.    Milan lost badly against Genoa in San Siro and when almost everybody thought Inzaghi was about to get sacked… the Club deciding to keep him.  Will Inzaghi remain if they lose against Napoli at the San Paolo Stadium or that will be the last chance….

The top scorer up to Round 33: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 20 goals

It’s a game to win for Juventus or draw to officially win the 2014 – 2015 Scudetto.  Mathematically speaking, Juventus need only 1 point to win the Scudetto and celebrate.   Pressure is for Juventus who are also preparing to meet Real Madrid next week in the Champions League Semifinal.   Sampdoria will look to win the home game to keep a spot in the Europa League next season.

Hello my friends. Here is the Serie A PREVIEW for Week 33 on Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29, and Thursday 30  April 2015 .  It’s  a special midweek round because we might see Juventus crowning themselves as winner of the 2014-2015 Scudetto if they defeat Fiorentina at the Juventus Stadium and the combination of Lazio losing to Parma at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.

Here is the situation.  Juventus having 73 points while Lazio in the second position having 59 points.  The gap is 14 points and we have only 5 more games after this one having a total of 15 available points . If Juventus win they will reach 76 points.

The battle in this Round 33 will be mostly on who will get the 2nd position.   Lazio will battle with their teeth to keep it away from their city rival AS ROMA who are down to the 3rd position with 58 points.  Surely, just 1 point difference, but the pride of Lazio to see Roma struggling now is an added motivation.

The other battle will be for the Europa League zone…  Realistically, Napoli (56), Sampdoria (50) and Fiorentina (49) are with the real chances to make it next season.  Nevertheless, mathematically speaking, Genoa (47),  Torino (47), and Inter (45) can still dream with the Europa League…not easy….  As for AC Milan (43), they must be asking for forgiveness as their chances to make it is more an impossible dream….

The top scorer up to Round 32: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 18 goals.

Hello my friends. Here is the Serie A PREVIEW for Week 31 on Saturday 18, Sunday 19, and Monday 20 April 2015.   We have an interesting round not for the 1st position because that seems a spot for Juventus with 70 points having a +12 points ahead of Lazio with 58 points.

What we will be following closely is the race towards the 2nd and 3rd position.   It’s a big challenge for Lazio to go to the Juventus Stadium to defeat Juventus.  Lazio can keep the 2nd position only if they defeat Juventus.  Now, here is the other situation.  AS Roma with 57 points can take back the 2nd position if Juventus defeat Lazio and Roma defeat Atalanta.

The super match to follow is the MILAN DERBY!   Yep, my friends.  Inter vs AC Milan. There is only 1 point difference and both teams are battling not only to win the Milan Derby, but also to pursue their last minute sprint towards the Europa League next season.  Milan in the 9th position with 42 points and Inter in the 10th position with 41 points.  Are you kidding me!  Hello… it will be a super duel between Inter forward Mauro Icardi and A CMilan forward Jeremy Menez both top scorer for their respective teams with 16 goals each.   Wondering who will score the winner goal… oh my gosh….

Agonizing battle for the last 3 teams in the relegation zone whether they will survive or just accept their reality to go to Serie B….. OUCH.

The top scorer up to Round 30: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 17 goals.

Hello my friends. Here is  the Serie A PREVIEW for Week30 on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April 2015.   The leadership of the Serie A  will not change.  Juventus being the sole leader with 70 points have a widely +14 points advantage.   Juventus will play the away game against Parma who are in the last position.     Challenge will be for  Roma to keep the 2nd position with 56 points because Lazio is following closely and we might see a turning point here.  It will be chaotic for Roma to lose, but the away game against Torino at the Olimpico di Torino is just adding pressure to the Roman gladiators.  Here is the situation,  Lazio with 55 points are playing the home game against Empoli.  On paper, Lazio have better chances to win the game and will be a total celebration for them to see city rivals losing in Turin to take over the 3rd position.

Pressure for Napoli will be to win the next games and hope for Fiorentina (4) and Sampdoria (5) to lose points.  Problem is tthat in this week we have the direct match Napoli vs Fiorentina!    Napoli having 47 points and Fiorentina 49 points.  The victory is a must for Napoli, but can Napoli and Fiorentina handle the pressure ahead of their Europa League matches next week too?   Tough match…..

Juventus always closer to claim the Scudetto after defeating Empoli with a 2-0 thanks to the goals by Carlos Tevez and Robero Pereyra. Juventus reaching 70 points and keeping a clear advantage of +14 points ahead of Roma.

AC Milan coach  Filippo Inzaghi  highly motivated after winning last week at the Renzo Barbera Stadium defeating Palermo.   Milan are still battling to make it to the Europa zone. Milan in the 8th position with 41 points are -7 points below of Sampdoria holding the 5th position with 48 points.   Its’ now a face to face challenge with Milan vs Sampdoria at the San Siro Stadium.

The top scorer up to Round 29: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 17 goals.
