Napoli keep the first position reaching 26 points after defeating Bologna at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Napoli reached ten consecutive victories. The decisive goal arrives in the 69th minute, with Victor Osimhen sealing the victory. Napoli struggled but took home the three points against a solid Bologna.

Empoli defeated Monza at the Carlo Castellani Stadium.  Palladino’s streak of consecutive victories on the Monza bench stops at three, collecting his first defeat.  Empoli reached 11 points leaving Monza with 10 points. A narrow victory for Empoli thanks to Haas’ goal, brings home three heavy points. A balanced match that saw Monza pushing especially in the final minutes, but the Tuscan defense and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario’s saves did not collapse the wall. In the last minutes there are protests from Brianza for a penalty not granted to Birindelli and then the red card in the 95th minute to Nicolò Rovella for a shot to Marin with the ball far away.

Juventus win the  “Derby della Mole number 205” to claim the bragging rights to rule in Turin at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium. Juventus got these three points meaning a sign of relief during these moments of difficulty. Juve crisis was the dominant theme after the collapse in the Champions League against Maccabi Haifa following the defeat against AC Milan. Juventus reached 16 points. Torino remain at 11 and take the 24th defeat in the last 33 Serie A derbies.

Atalanta celebrate their 115th Birthday defeating Sassuolo at the Gewiss Stadium .  Atalanta reaches 24 points while Sassuolo remains stationary in the middle of the table with 12 points. Atalanta win in a comeback game after the goal with Giorgos Kiriakopoulos, Mario Pašalić immediate draw and Atalanta overtake the lead with Ademola Lookman.

Inter defeated Salernitana at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. Inter take home the 3 points thanks to the goals of Lautaro Martinez and Nicolò Barella and reach 18 points in the standings. Inter is back winning the second match in a row in the league after the one against Sassuolo. For Inzaghi it is the fourth consecutive useful result also counting the challenges with Barcelona in the Champions League. For Salernitana new stop after the victory with Verona.

AC Milan beat Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. In the standings, Hellas Verona remain at 5 points with the fifth consecutive defeat while Milan climb from the 5th to 3rd place with 23 points.   Milan conquered the Bentegodi thanks to Sandro Tonali’s decisive goal in the final after the first half ended in a draw, due to the own goal by Miguel Veloso and the goal by Gunter. Milan for the first time in its history would collect at least seven wins in the first 10 matches of a Serie A championship for three consecutive seasons (in 2020/21 eight wins in the top 10, in 2021/22 nine wins in the top 10).

AS Roma caused an upset defeating Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.  Sampdoria are crying out loud for help remaining in the last position with only 3 points.  Good news is for Roma because they climbed from the 6th to the 4th position reaching 22 points just -4 points below Napoli with 26 in the first position. Sampdoria loses for the seventh time out of ten games.  Roma with 3 consecutive away victories.

Spezia and Cremonese share the spoils after ending with a draw at the Alberto Picco Stadium. Spezia reached 9 points and in the next match will face Salernitana away from home. Cremonese reached 4 points and the next match will be the home match against Sampdoria. The first half played with great intensity by both teams, with the match that is released immediately thanks to the fastest goal scored by Cremonese in Serie A in the 61st second by Cyriel Dessers.

Sassuolo, 9th position with 12 points and a positive goal difference of +1

Atalanta celebrate their 115th Birthday winning the Serie A Week 10 game on Saturday 10 October 2022 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy. Atalanta played with a a special shirt to celebrate the club’s 115th birthday.

Atalanta have won all their last five home games against Sassuolo in Serie A, always scoring at least two goals in the partial (16 goals in the period) – the last unsuccessful game for the Dea dates back to 8 April 2017 ( 1-1, signed by the currently Giallorossi Lorenzo Pellegrini and Bryan Cristante).

Sassuolo opened the score in the 40th minute. Giorgos Kyriakopoulos defeated Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello with a left-footed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Luca D’Andrea.

Atalanta equalized for the 1-1 before ending the first half. Mario Pašalić defeated Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli from very close range with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Brandon Soppy.

What a way to start the second half!!! Atalanta took the lead for the 2-1 in the 46th minute. Ademola Lookman scored with a left-footed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Brandon Soppy.

✅  Stats before the game. Sassuolo won the last Serie A match against Atalanta (2-1 last April), after a series of 15 unsuccessful matches (5D, 10L); Sassuolo, in fact, had only won the first two games ever against the Goddess in the competition. After keeping clean sheets in their first three Serie A matches against Atalanta, Sassuolo have conceded goals in all of their last 15 against the Nerazzurri, collecting an average of 2.7 goals per match (40 total) – in general, only against Juventus the neroverdi have conceded more goals (47) than against Atalanta.  Despite the draw against Udinese in the last round, this remains Atalanta’s best start in a Serie A championship, with 21 points scored in the first nine races – moreover, the Goddess had never reached this point of the season without defeat. (improved the record of 2000/01, when it stopped at eight). Sassuolo have kept clean sheets in their last two Serie A away games and have not lined up three away ‘clean sheets’ in the competition since December 2020, with Roberto De Zerbi on the bench.

👉  Lineup Sassuolo (4-3-3): Consigli, Toljan, Erlic, Ferrari, Rogerio, Frattesi, Lopez, Thorstvedt, D’Andrea, Pinamonti, Kyriakopoulos.
