Serie A Standing AFTER the game:
Parma, 6th position 50 points and a positive goal difference of +11
Napoli, 3rd position with 64 points and a positive goal difference of +26
A blow for Napoli looking to win the away game against Parma to follow closely Roma for the 2nd position. Parma courageously battled against the favorite to grab this home victory and reached 50 points to remain in Europa League zone along Inter. Napoli losing the 6th game of the season, but still remain in the 3rd position Napoli are now -12 points behind AS Roma holding the 2nd position with 73 points and +12 points ahead of Fiorentina holding the 4th position with 52 points.
The pride of Parma enough to give the lead at the Ennio Tardini Stadium. Parma taking the lead in the 55th minute with midfielder Marco Parolo. The assist by Mattia Cassani with a cross to Parolo who seemed to be motivated by the fans and there you go…. the goal with a right footed shot defeating Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina despite his stretch to the top right corner. This is the 8th goal this season for Parolo who run to celebrate towards the fans while teammates congratulate him.
Here is PARMA official starting lineup by coach Roberto Donadoni:
Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Parma, 6th position 47 points and a positive goal difference of +10
Napoli,
3rd position with 64 points and a positive goal difference of +27
Disciplinary Situation: 2 suspended players for PARMA: Amauri (2), Lucarelli (1)
No suspended players for NAPOLI
Here are PARMA official called up players by coach Roberto Donadoni for the game, Parma vs Napoli on Sunday 6 April 2014 at the Ennio Tardini Stadium in Parma, Italy for the Serie A Week 32 at 20:45.
Here is the list of suspensions by the Sporting Authorities Judge Gianpaolo Tose after the latest round of Serie A Week 31:
3 game ban suspension:
Chievo’s Nicolas Frey after video evidence showed he kicked-out at Mario Balotelli while the striker was getting up from a previous challenge during Saturday’s match Milan-Chievo.
The following meanwhile have all been handed a 1 match ban:
Hello my friends. Here is the Serie A PREVIEW for
the
Serie A Week 32, 2013 – 2014 Season on Saturday 5, Sunday 6, and Monday 7 April
2014, matchday 32. Countdown my friends! 6 more games after this Round and the 2013 – 2014 Serie A will end on May 18! Highlight for this round is the VERONA Derby! Yep, Chievo Verona vs Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium…. Interestingly, Hellas Verona who were promoted from Serie B this season are doing way better in the 9th position with 43 points than Chievo in the 16th position with 27 points risking to fall in the relegation zone if losing….
Turning point in the Scudetto Race after AS Roma recovered the pending Week 22 game defeating Parma. Roma are now -8 points from Juventus. Surely, pressure now is for Juventus to get back to the winning track after losing last week against Napoli at the San Paolo Stadium. Nevertheless, Juventus despite the defeat
are absolute leaders with a
solo flight this season towards their third consecutive Scudetto.
Juventus and Roma have lost only 2 games this season. Plus is for Juventus having forward Carlos Tevez being “Top scorer”
position with 18 goals followed by Torino forward Ciro Immobile with 17
goals. Juventus now more than motivated to continue winning in Serie A after defeating Olympique Lyonnais in the Europa League Quarterfinal First Leg.
AS Roma will keep the 2nd position this week despite the result win, draw, or lose. The Roman gladiators have a tough game traveling to the Sant’Elia stadium to play against Caglairi. Juventus, technically, with better chances to win the home game against Livorno on Monday. Livorno are struggling to survive and pressure to remain in Serie A next season is the added motivation to cause an upset at the Juventus stadium.
The challenge is for AC Milan to continue the winning road and still dream with a spot in Europa League next season. Milan with 42 points are 5 points below the European Zone seeing Parma in the 6th position with 47 points.
We expect a fierce battle in the Europa League zone. Inter with the pressure to win to keep the 5th position. Last week, Inter could not defeat Livorno at the Armando Picchi Stadium after being 2-0, but ended with a 2-2 draw. Inter are playing this week at the Meazza against Bologna. Parma also playing a home game at the Ennio Tardini Stadium against Napoli. If Inter lose or draw with Bologna might go down to the 6th position. Parma will look to defeat Napoli and hope for Inter to lose to take over the 5th position. A victory for Inter might take them back to the 4th position in case of Fiorentina losing the home game against Udinese.
Battle also for survival. Chievo Verona with 27 points and Bologna with 26 points might go down to relegation if they lose their respective games and Livorno with 25 points defeat Juventus…. which is almost unthinkable.
Here is the situation. Juventus in the 1st position with 81 points and a
positive goal difference of +45. AS Roma in the 2nd position with 73
points and a positive goal difference of +45. Napoli in the 3rd
position with 64 points and a positive goal difference of +27.
The Europa League zone. Fiorentina
in the 4th position with 52 points and a positive goal difference of
+16. Inter in the 5th position with 49 points and a positive goal
difference of +16. Parma in the 6th position with 47 points and a
positive goal difference of +10.
Relegation Zone: Livorno in the 18th position with 25
and a negative goal difference of -24. Sassuolo in the 19th position
with 21 points and a negative goal difference of -32. Catania in the
20th position with 20 points and a negative goal difference of -32.
Up to Round 31, Week 31 most scored goals in favor: Juventus scoring 67 goals
