I agree with the declarations by AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi after “finally” winning a match in San Siro. Milan defeated Parma on Sunday 1 February 2015 giving the fans a moment of joy and a boost for the morale of the team. Surely, Milan must play better and re-program their winning mentality. A super match by Milan forward Jeremy Menez not only scoring 2 goals, but also making the assist for Cristian Zaccardo’s goal.
FILIPPO INZAGHI (to the Milan Channel) “I knew it was going to be a tricky match, but we had to take risks. I played with 4 forwards. We couldn’t envisage changing so many players without struggling occasionally. There are certain players that when they have the ball, you feel confident. Today for example we were missing these type of players. Zaccardo was applauded by his team-mates afterwards in the changing rooms and he deserved it. He has always trained well, he wants the best for the club and his coach. Cerci and Honda did well. Playing a 4-4-2 is not easy, I asked both of them for lots of sacrifice, they had to come back in defence. I switched Cerci’s position on the flank and he went back to being himself. I have 2 playing systems that are perfect for us. A 4-2-4 can bring us success and taking a risk today it paid off. Destro has a good spirit and worked hard. It’s a shame we lose him through suspension against Juventus. I hope to have Bonaventura, Montolivo and De Jong back. We lost Abate yesterday, let’s hope for not too long. Bonera might come back. Let’s hope they recover quickly. We have to build from this match, the return of players from the treatment room and from the new signings. I thank the President for this, and he has given me players who run hard, who are young, who are hungry and Italian. It’s now down to us to do well in the coming matches.”
FILIPPO INZAGHI (press conference) “I knew it would have been a hard match, we’re missing a lot of players right now. It’s difficult what we’re going through at the moment, not only in terms of the results but also in terms of the injuries. The players gave everything, I hope it is the turning point. We must work on our playing style, but with the players coming back from injury, we will do well. I thank the club for the new additions, they are players that I wanted. I don’t feel the need to ask for more to the President, he has already given me what I wanted. I have told the players that the Milan fans want to see players that give everything. Zaccardo played for the first time in a long time and gave his all. The fans want to see Milan play better, with the new signings things will improve. Honda can play on both flanks. I have to give confidence to the team. Today it was important to win.”

This is a wake up match not only for Parma to start collecting points for salvation, but also for an agonizing AC Milan falling below the 10th position very far from the coveted “3rd position.” Milan seeing the light for revival. The hero of the match is forward Jeremy Menez not only scoring 2 goals, but also providing the assist for Zaccardo’s goal.
Things startig bad for Parma. Referee Doveri giving a penalty to AC Milan in the 17th minute conceded by Parma forward Cristian Rodriguez after a handball. It is Milan forward Jeremy Menez to convert the penalty defeating Parma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner. It’s the 11th goal this season by Menez.
Referee Doveri giving a yellow card to Milan midfielder Van Ginkel after a foul on Parma forward Cristian Rodríguez in the 23rd minute.
It is the ex Milan player Antonio Nocerino to equalize the score. Nocerino defeating Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. Nocerino not celebrating the goal for respect to his ex team.
AC Milan gaining momentum in the 57th minute by breaking the draw. It is forward Menez to lead the team back to the victory defeating goalkeeper Mirante with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner. It’s a great match for Menez scoring his 12th goal being now only 1 goal behind top scorer Juventus forward Carlos Tevez having 13 goals. The assist is by forward Alessio Cerci.
Stats at the San Siro are in favor of AC Milan. There are 31 precedents with Milan winning 16, Parma winning 7 and 8 draws. Milan scoring 54 goals while Parma scoring 32 goals.
New forward Mattia Destro making his debut with Milan since the first minute until the 74th minute when replaced by midfielder Sulley Muntari….. It’s also an emotional game for Parma coach Roberto Donadoni an ex AC Milan player.
Milan fans can experience a sign of relief now in the 76th minute with defender Cristian Zaccardo securing the victory. Zaccardo defeating Parma goalkeeper Mirante witha left footed shot in teh top left corner. The assist is by forward Jérémy Menez
