Atalanta making the official presentation of new coach Edy Reja on Thursday 5 March 2015.   Reja is replacing coach Stefano Colantuono.   Reja directed his first training with his new players on Wednesday preparing the Serie A Week 26 game, Parma vs Atalanta to be played on Sunday 8 March at the Ennio Tardini Stadium.   Here is the situation for the battle to save Atalanta to remain in Serie A next season.   Atalanta are currently in the 17th position with 23 points and a negative goal difference of -15 winning only 5 games out of the 25 played with 8 draws and 12 lost.

Surely, Atalanta president asked Reja for a clear objective which is to “save Atalanta” from relegation.  Will Reja make it?  That’s the challenge.

Reja saying that his players are physically well and that he hopes to recover those injured soon.   “The team is well and is just worried mentally for the ranking, but with confidence to get out of this situation.”

“It seems to me that from the players there is a lot of availability and I think it’s normal with the new coach. We started immediately in climate championship, we have no time to experiment, we must immediately find adequate measures ahead of Parma match.  Atalanta has not found in this way since years.  Atalata has done always fine and compliments especially to Colantuono for the great work in these years. Now there is the match against Parma, who need to be prepared in the best way. ”

On being without a team lately, Reja commented, “I had a period of inactivity by choice, I needed to unplug it, now I go back to work with a good technical staff in this great center that I did not know where I think we can do well.  I am proud of the consideration by Atalanta. In just two days in contact with the team I have found a group willing, motivated and friendly.  We now need to get in tune with all of them. I will demand, in any case, commitment and determination in training and of course during the 90 minutes of the game. I started to try solutions but at the moment I have not decided. I’m preparing, in many ways, Sunday’s game in Parma. I know that we will find opponents eager to show off which is why there will be no small battle.”
