Hello my friends. Here is the Serie A ROUNDUP for
the
Serie A Week 21, 2013 – 2014 Season on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26
January 2014, matchday 21.
There is a small stop for Juventus failing to win their 13 consecutive game. Lazio causing the surprise to open the score while Referee Massa gives a red card to Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon in the 24th minute for a foul on Lazio forward Miroslav Klose. Lazio 1 – 1 Juventus. It’s the second draw for Juventus this season in away games. Nevertheless, Juventus confirming their dominion as sole leaders of the Serie A with
56 points.
AS Roma keeping the race for the Scudetto alive by defeating Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. Roma shortening the gap with Juventus from 8 points to 6 points.
Another blow is for Napoli unable to win the home game against Chievo Verona at the San Paolo Stadium. Napoli seeing their chances for the Scudetto almost “gone.” This is the 3rd draw this season at the San Paolo Stadium. Napoli now risk to lose the third place if continuing with draws or losing…..
An upset is for Inter unable to defeat Catania at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium being Catania the last of the Standing. Inter fans whistling the players while President Eric Thohir and Massimo Moratti watching the game from the Tribune. Catania grabbing their first point in an away game this season while Inter not winning a game in 2014.
AC Milan making a comeback to win the match. Cagliari taking the lead with Marco Sau and Milan taking away the full 3 points after the equalizer goal by Mario Balotelli and the winner goal by forward Giampaolo Pazzini scoring his first goal this season. Cagliari 1 – 2 AC Milan
A magic moment for Firoentina midfielder Alberto Aquilani scoring 3 goals against Genoa! The fans saluting him with a loud applause when he was substituted in the 74th minute with Anderson.
Parma scoring only 1 goal by forward Amauri claiming the full 3 points. It’s a needed victory while Udinese suffering their 4 consecutive loss. Not a good moment and coach Francesco Guidolin risking being sacked if results continue like this.
Here is the situation. Juventus in the 1st position with 56 points and a
positive goal difference of +36. AS Roma in the 2nd position with 50 points with a positive goal difference of +34. Napoli in the 3rd
position with 44 points and a positive goal difference of +21.

Good morning my friends. How are you? We have completed Serie A Week 20 and many good and bad news. Headlines giving relevance to the victory of AC Milan because it was the debut of new coach Clarence Seedorf. Sure, I agree this victory is a boost to the morale of the team, but it was not an easy victory. I must tell you that the headline that grab my attention is the one about “the crisis” of Inter. Yep. Inter defeated by their ex coach Gian Piero Gasperini leading Genoa.
As for Juventus headline praising midfielder Arturo Vidal, I agree he is living a rocking moment. Oh my my my, just before I forget. I love the headline on forward Alessandro Matri making his debut with Fiorentina by scoring 2 goals and making an assist! You bet it is a vote of confidence after Matri transferred from AC Milan where he could not shine. I am sure Matri will continue his good momentum.
