Here are some stats (by Opta) Colombian forward Duvan Zapata scored 5 goals in 3 appearances against Frosinone in Serie A, averaging one goal every 39 minutes.
Abdoul Harroui is only the second Frosinone player capable of scoring in back-to-back Serie A home games after Federico Dionisi in September-October 2015.
Empoli have lost both of their first two Serie A games of the season for the first time since 2016/17.
Andrea Colpani is the second Monza player capable of making a multiple goal in Serie A TIM, after Gianluca Caprari against Cremonese on 14 January (brace).
Roma had not conceded at least two goals in each of their first two matches in a single Serie A season since the 2009/10 campaign, with Luciano Spalletti on the bench.
Verona won their first two league matches for the third time in their Serie A history; she had also succeeded in 1984/85 and 2020/21 – in the latter case the first victory came against Roma (3-0 at the table).
Christian Pulisic became the 5th player to score in both of his first two Serie A appearances for Milan in the three points for a win era (since 1994/95), after Oliver Bierhoff, Andriy Shevchenko, Mario Balotelli and Jérémy Ménez .
Since his debut in Serie A TIM (August 2021), Olivier Giroud is the AC Milan player who has scored the most goals in the competition (27 goals for the Frenchman).
Dusan Vlahovic has scored six goals against Bologna in Serie A TIM, more than against any other team in the competition.
Bologna have scored in each of their last eight Serie A TIM away matches, their best run in the competition since 2002.
Alfred Duncan’s goal is Fiorentina’s 4,000th goal in Serie A (if we also consider the two from the Tuscans’ table win against Napoli on 22 May 1977).
Hamza Rafia is the second Tunisian player to score a goal in Serie A after Yohan Benalouane (two goals in six seasons in the top flight between 2010 and 2015).
For the second time in the last 10 seasons, Lazio have lost their first two Serie A TIM matches (previously also in 2018/19 against Napoli and Juventus).
Mateo Retegui scored his first goal in Serie A TIM, with his third goal in the league.
For the first time in their history, Napoli have won their home debut in Serie A for eight consecutive seasons.
Sassuolo have lost each of their first two games of the season in Serie A TIM for the first time since their debut in the competition (2013/14).
Salernitana remained undefeated in the first two games of the season for the first time in their history in Serie A.
Lazar Samardzic is the only midfielder born in the 2000s who has been involved in at least 10 goals in Serie A since the start of last season (six goals and four assists).
Inter have won each of the first two games of a Serie A championship for five seasons in a row for the first time in their history.
Marcus Thuram served his first assist in Serie A, exactly 17 years and 282 days after his father’s last winning pass in the competition (19 November 2005 for David Trezeguet against Roma).
