Udinese are under pressure to win the Serie A Week 23 game against Monza on Saturday 3 February 2024 at the Dacia Arena in Udine, Italy.  After two consecutive defeats, Udinese returns to move up the table, moving away from Empoli and, momentarily, also from Cagliari and Verona, moving one point ahead of the relegation zone. However, Monza remains in twelfth place alongside Genoa, achieving their second consecutive clean sheet, and remaining in the mid-table.

In the first half the Bianconeri became dangerous with Lucca, whose two shots were both brilliantly blocked by Di Gregorio, with Payero, with a right-footed shot that missed the target, and with Thauvin, who first failed to find he takes it with a precise left foot from an excellent position and is then stopped by another great save from the Monza goalkeeper. In the second half, opportunities were lacking until the 90th minute, when Marì headed Ciurria’s corner and Lovric saved on the line, avoiding defeat for the home team.

✅   Stats before the game: Among the teams currently in Serie A, Monza is the only one against which Udinese has never lost: a Friulian success in the first match, followed by two draws. Furthermore, in all three previous matches in the tournament, both teams have always scored. Udinese have won only one of their last 11 league matches (5N, 5L): a 3-0 success against Bologna. Furthermore, the Friulians have lost their most recent two matches and in the 2023/24 Serie A they have not yet recorded three defeats in a row. Monza won the most recent match against Sassuolo, only once in this championship have the Brianza players achieved two successes in a row: in October against Sassuolo and Salernitana. Only Salernitana (24) have conceded more goals than Udinese (19) in home matches in the 2023/24 Serie A.
