Juventus faced a tough defeat, losing 5-2 to Manchester City in the Group Stage of the FIFA Club World Cup Group G match at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Both teams have secured their places in the round of 16.    The Bianconeri struggled against Guardiola’s squad, who found the net through Doku, Savinho, Haaland, and Foden, with Kalulu contributing an own goal. The goals for the Old Lady came from Koopmeiners and Vlahovic.

Manchester City kicked off its FIFA Club World Cup journey with a 2-0 victory over Wydad, while Al Ain faced a heavy 0-5 defeat against Juventus. Juventus and Manchester City are set to clash again, seven months after their Champions League Stage match, which Juventus won 2-0.

Showing impressive form, Juventus has achieved victories against WAC Casablanca, Al Ain, Venezia, and Udinese, extending their unbeaten streak to seven matches.

The game …

In the 9th minute, Manchester City went ahead. Jérémy Doku found the net with a right-footed shot aimed at the bottom right corner. Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio had no chance. Rayan Aït-Nouri provided the assist.

Juventus leveled the score in the 11th minute. Teun Koopmeiners capitalized on a mistake by Ederson, who came off his line, and he made the Brazilian goalkeeper pay with a left-footed strike from the left side of the box into the bottom left corner.

In the 26th minute, Pierre Kalulu scored an own goal while trying to deflect Marmoush’s low cross into a corner, but instead, he accidentally sent the ball past Di Gregorio. As a result, Manchester City regains the lead.

In the 52nd minute, Erling Haaland scored a goal, capitalizing on Nunez’s assist following another excellent pass from Reijnders, and he still managed to get the ball into the net, albeit in a somewhat messy fashion.

Turmoil for Juventus. In the 76th minute, Savinho scores after several attempts on goal and a save by Di Gregorio on Haaland, striking powerfully from outside the box and sending the ball beneath the crossbar. A significant loss for the Bianconeri.

In the 84th minute, Juventus closed the gap. Dušan Vlahović found the net with a right-footed shot into the bottom left corner, assisted by Kenan Yildiz.
