Wearing the Juventus jersey has always been a target for Kaio Jorge, as revealed by the Brazilian forward himself as he was unveiled to the media as a Bianconeri player on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old appeared at a press conference at Allianz Stadium, where he answered questions from journalists.
“I’ve come here to have a very good season, learn and have fun,” he said. “I’m going to be playing with some fantastic team-mates and I’ll try to score as many goals as possible. Juventus has always been a dream for me and I’m really happy – this is the culmination of so much work. It’s really important for me to adapt. I want to give everything I have, both on and off the pitch. I picked up an injury a few days ago, but it’s nothing season. I’ll be back very soon.”
CR7: LONG-TIME IDOL
“Cristiano Ronaldo has always inspired me. I always used to watch videos of him on YouTube. He’s a brilliant player and I hope to learn a lot from him. He’s already given me a lot of advice – he’s a fantastic person. There are other Juventus players that I really admire, like Dybala and Chiellini, who is an exemplary person.”
JUVENTUS AS A CLUB
“I’ve been impressed by the operation behind Juventus. Everybody here is giving their all, every day. They’ve made me feel very welcome and I’m getting on well. I’m happy.”
THE NO.21 JERSEY
“I chose the No.21 because it’s a number that many top players have worn in the past, like [Andrea] Pirlo, [Zinedine] Zidane, [Paulo] Dybala and [Gonzalo] Higuain.”
