The club’s CEO pays tribute to the work done behind the scenes in restoring Juventus back to the top: “Andrea Agnelli has created a structure and winning model”

Giuseppe Marotta paid tribute to the job done by president Andrea Agnelli in bringing Juventus back to their rightful place at the summit of Serie A, an achievement confirmed for the fourth successive time with this evening’s win over Sampdoria in Liguria.

The club CEO says the “winning model” of Juventus will continue to expand its horizons and has no intention of stopping, neither on or off the field.

Providing his thoughts after a 33rd Scudetto was made mathematically certain. Marotta said: “The arrival of president Agnelli provided us all with a great sense of belonging. He created a structure and winning model, with carefully planned investments that have turned into results on the pitch.

“We have important targets ahead of us, such as the Champions League semi-final, but for the time being we’ll toast a Scudetto we won by being the best team. Our brand is growing and now players are asking to come here. ”

A main factor behind this season’s triumph has been the leadership of Massimiliano Allegri, whose qualities were lauded by Marotta at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

“The boss is great at managing the group and is a leader. Max came in with a relaxed approach and led the team to these achievements. I don’t think you could ask for anything more.”

With Scudetto number four in the bag, Arturo now has his sights set on the big one: “We’ll get straight down to work tomorrow so that we’re ready for the semi-final. It would be a dream to win the trophy”

Arturo Vidal came out of the dressing room grinning from cheek to cheek. And who could blame him? With his first-half header against Sampdoria, he repeated his feat from 2012/13 by netting the Scudetto-clinching goal for Juventus.

He beamed: “It had been a while since I scored in the league so I’m pleased with my goal, but what matters now is that we have a big game coming up on Tuesday.”

El Guerrero is clearly itching to test his mettle on one of the biggest stages in the world. “I feel good and the team is playing with maturity. We’ll be heading to the Bernabeu for the return leg, a stadium that gets me excited just thinking about it.

“I know Real Madrid are the best team in the world but we want to be in the final. It would be a dream to win the Champions League. We’ll have time to celebrate at the end of the season.”

So how can Juve overcome Los Blancos? “By keeping a clean sheet in Turin and maybe scoring too. Tomorrow we’ll get down to work so that we’re ready to give it our best effort.”

The 28-year-old celebrates his birthday weekend in style by claiming a fourth consecutive Serie A title

Leonardo Bonucci says that credit should go out to the whole club after Juventus reconfirmed themselves as Serie A champions for a 33rd time on Saturday.

The 28-year-old, who put in a polished performance in defence during the Bianconeri’s 1-0 victory over Sampdoria, also heaped praise on coach Massimiliano Allegri who masterminded the triumph.

Speaking pitchside he began: “It’s amazing how great this Scudetto feels. We’ve all been fantastic throughout the campaign. Credit to everyone: the players, the staff and also to our fantastic boss.

“Allegri has been intelligent in allowing to us begin the season with a formation we are accustomed to and then gradually transform us into a team that plays attractive football based on possession.”

Despite wrapping up the league title, further challenges await in both Europe and the Coppa Italia, and the Azzurri international wasn’t getting the party started just yet.

“We’ll get back to work as soon as we return to Turin. We’ve still got big goals we want to achieve that would make this season unforgettable.”

Bonucci ended proceedings by devoting the Bianconeri’s fourth consecutive Serie A title to the supporters: “We’re dedicating this to our fans: they’re Juve’s beating heart and are always on hand to help us with their support.”

The skipper reacts to the club’s 33rd Scudetto title: “We’re a group who possess a strong mentality, spirit of self-sacrifice and a will to always want more”

Gianluigi Buffon says that the secret behind yet another successful season in the black and white stripes is the club’s ongoing winning mentality.

The skipper, who has now claimed his eighth Scudetto title since joining from Parma in 2001, lauded the Bianconeri’s “will to always want more” after today’s 1-0 victory over Sampdoria sealed a 33rd Serie A title in Juventus’ illustrious history.

Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone at the Luigi Ferraris, the 37-year-old began: “The Scudetti become even better as the years pass. You never get tired of winning. In fact, the older you get, the more you enjoy these triumphs.

“We had a few doubts when there was change in the dugout back in July, but we’ve demonstrated both our technical and moral merit. We’re a group who possess a strong mentality, spirit of self-sacrifice and a will to always want more.”

It’s been a fantastic campaign for the Old Lady, who have been top ever since the opening day, but Buffon stated that it wasn’t plain sailing all the way.

“The 2013/14 season was close right until the end, but it was a different story this time around. There have been some bumps along the way, that happens in years like this one and it does you some good.

“When you know you’re the best, you run the risk of slacking off. Sometimes you need a kick up the backside to bring the best out of you.”

There’s now just the small matter of preparing for Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid, a game in which Buffon is looking for the Bianconeri to show their mettle.

“We’re delighted to have wrapped up the title, now we can shift our attentions solely on Real. We want to give it a good go and come away without any regrets.”

The 30-year-old praises the club’s collective after securing a fourth successive Scudetto: “We’re a fantastic team and possess great individuals in every department”

Giorgio Chiellini says every single member of the squad has contributed to the club’s 33rd Scudetto title.

The 30-year-old put in a typically battling performance as the Bianconeri’s famed rearguard kept a 19th league clean sheet of the season during this evening’s 1-0 win away at Sampdoria.

Speaking to Sky following the game, Chiellini said: “We’re fantastic in every department, everyone has played their part.

“We possess excellent individuals like Pereyra who hit the ground running from the start. I didn’t think he’d be as good as he’s turned out to be.

“I’m in the prime of my career and am more vocal on the field. I’d like to give an honourable mention to the defence. We know how to dig deep and maybe I’m the symbol of these characteristics.”

Despite many thinking this evening’s Scudetto celebrations would go on long into the night, the players have already got their minds set on the challenges that lie in wait.

And Chiellini, ever the professional, wants his team-mates to remain grounded for the remainder of the season.

He concluded: “We can’t celebrate in the same way as years gone by. Our next match is fundamental and we need to approach it in the best possible way.

“Even though we’ve won the title, there’s still another month to play, and we want to end it in a big way.”
