The Frenchman joins his team-mates for this afternoon’s workout in Vinovo

Paul Pogba today made his grand return to the first-team squad as the Bianconeri resumed training after enjoying a day off in the wake of Tuesday’s 2-1 Champions League semi-final first leg triumph over Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has recovered from the thigh injury picked up in the last 16 second leg meeting with Borussia Dortmund in Germany and joined up with his team-mates for this afternoon’s training.

Fitness work, possession and a practice match formed the ingredients of the session, played out in glorious May sunshine.

Ahead of the Bianconeri’s final workout before Saturday’s meeting with Cagliari at Juventus Stadium, Massimiliano Allegri will meet the media at midday CET tomorrow.

The J-Members have spoken: Claudio Marchisio was the best Juve player last month. He’ll receive his “MVP of The Month Powered by Hanwha” award on Saturday, ahead of Juve v Cagliari

With over 300 appearances for the Bianconeri, Claudio Marchisio has spent his whole career with the club, working his way up from youth prospect to undisputed pillar of the first team.

It’s been another great season for Marchisio, who has earned plaudits from all corners and been praised as one of the best midfielders in the world.

It should come as no surprise, then, that the J-Members have chosen him as the “MVP of The Month Powered by Hanwha” for April. Il Principino will be presented with his award just before the league match against Cagliari scheduled for Saturday at 18:00 CET.

It’s sure to be a moment of great satisfaction for Claudio, but it’ll be even sweeter for the lucky fan chosen to represent the entire JuventusMembership project and present him with the award on the Juventus Stadium turf.

To be in with a chance of being chosen for such an unforgettable experience, make sure you vote for your man of the match after every match by heading to the “Fixtures and Results” page of the “On The Pitch” section of the website.
