Juventus Youth Academy: Busy weekend of action for J-Academy

Juventus’ academy sides enjoyed a busy weekend of tournament football last week at the “Mamma Cairo” and Ale&Ricky memorial meetings, and the coming few days will be no different with the Primavera, U17 and U15 sides all in action.

Fabio Grosso’s youngsters will look to build on their third place play-off win over Milan last week, with a friendly against Atalanta at 12.00 CEST on Saturday 29 August at Juventus Center in Vinovo.

Felice Tufano’s U17s on the other hand will be on the road, as they head to Reggio Emilia for the “Previdi” tournament, kicking-off against Sassuolo on Friday 28 August at 20.45. The following morning at 10.00, the Bianconeri take on Hellas Verona with the quarter-finals scheduled for the same afternoon. Tufano will no doubt hope that his charges will still be in contention for the tournament’s grand finale on Sunday in Carpineti.

Last but not least, Davide Cei will take his U15 side to Cinisello Balsamo for the Gaetano Scirea tournament, named after the legendary Bianconeri defender. Cremonese will be the Giovanissimi’s first opponents on Friday evening at 20.30 before Cei’s young guns turn their attentions to Team Ticino on Sunday.

After a week’s interval, the action will recommence on Thursday 3 September for the quarter-finals, with the semi-finals and final to be played the following Saturday and Sunday.

Third jersey design

Black with a crew neck collar, the third jersey comes with the three stripes, adidas logo, Juventus crest and sleeve cuffs all in gold.

As with the home and away strips, the third kit mirrors the unique exterior of Juventus Stadium. However, this time, the design of the Bianconeri’s home ground does not appear on the jersey’s hem but on the shorts, featuring a pattern fading from black to white. The three stripes are gold as well as the Juventus crest on the front and the adidas logo on the back.

The new third uniform is completed by white socks boasting three gold stripes. The names and the numbers of the players are in gold.

The new Authentic strip will allow players to be faster and more comfortable on the field. It is made using a lightweight fabric which increases breathability by providing greater freedom of movement as well as comfort without sacrificing flexibility and resilience.

The replica jerseys, on the other hand, feature the climacool ventilation technology designed to help keep your body cool and dry through holes, breathable materials, fabrics and special stitchings.

Juventus Double Training Session, Wednesday 26 August 2015

Juventus built on this morning’s fitness work on the training ground and in the gym by focusing on technique and tactics during their second session of the day.

Led by Massimiliano Allegri and his backroom staff, the Bianconeri underwent a mixed workout consisting of passing drills, ball possession and an early look at tactics for this weekend’s clash with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

This work on strategy will be reinforced when Juventus return to training tomorrow afternoon in Vinovo.

Juventus – A two million strong Instagram army!

Just under three years ago, the official Juventus Instagram account posted its first photo, as Juve stepped up their pre-season preparations in Chatillon ahead of what would prove to be an immensely successful 2012/13 campaign.

Three Scudetto titles, two million followers, over two thousand photos posted and hundreds of thousands of likes later the Bianconeri story goes on.

Football has the power to capture the imagination of its followers like no other sport can. Since September 2012, Juventus has kept track of every moment, memory and emotion on Instagram, from Champions League finals, to tours of China, America and Australia, to match-winning goals to the arrivals of international stars.

Juventus Fitness first in Vinovo

The Bianconeri focus their attentions on fitness for their first training session of the day

Massimiliano Allegri’s men convened at Juventus Center this morning for a fitness and conditioning based workout before looking ahead tactically and technically to Sunday’s clash with Roma later this afternoon.

In the first of two sessions today, the Tuscan divided the squad into two groups, with one undergoing routine fitness tests out on the training pitches and the other working solely in the gym.

Having praised his side’s fitness and intensity after Sunday’s season opener with Udinese, Allegri will be keen to see his charges maintain those same levels throughout the week and to head to the Stadio Olimpico in the best possible condition.
