Hello my friends. Here are the results of the Serie A Week 35 – Thirty-fifth Round on Saturday 23, Sunday 24, and Monday 25 April 2016.   We have only 3 more games to end the Serie A on 15 May with 9 points available.   Highlight in this round is that Juventus already won the 2015 -2016 Serie A Scudetto with 3 games to spare.   Yes, you are reading right.  The news came on Monday because Napoli lost the game against AS Roma at the Olimpico Stadium.     Napoli following closely in the 2nd position with 73 points and a positive goal difference of +42.

It’s a historic victory for Juventus winning their 5th consecutive Scudetto.

A flop is for Napoli seeing their chance to win the Scudetto and also for Roma gone.   The thing is that Napoli might even lose the second position if losing next match.

Another disappointment is for AC Milan losing the match at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium.   Verona in the last position of the Serie A and managed to win the game in the agonizing 95th minute crashing Milan’s hope to grab the 3 points.

The top scorer up to Round 35: Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain with 30 goals

I want to congratulate Juventus team, staff, and fans on behalf of my blog Italian Soccer Serie A for winning the 2015 – 2016 Serie A Scudetto with 3 games to spare!   Yes, it is official.  Mathematically speaking, Juventus reaching 85 points after defeating Fiorentina on Sunday 24 April with a positive goal difference of +49.  Fiorentina 1 – 2 Juventus.

Juventus had to wait for the match AS Roma vs Napoli on Monday 25 April to see whether they could be proclaimed as Italy’s Champions, and they did.   Here is the situation.  Roma defeated Napoli and this is why  Juventus keeping a +12 points ahead of Napoli with only 3 more games meaning only 9 more available points to end the season.  Roma 1 – 0 Napoli.   Up to Week 35, Napoli remaining in the 2nd position with 73 points and a positive goal difference of +42.  Say no more, Juventus team, staff, fans immediately gathering in Vinovo to celebrate their Scudetto after knowing that Roma defeated their main contender Napoli.

Juventus is the sole leader of the Serie A and the Scudetto seeming almost  a reality.   Fiorentina now even risking to lose the 5th position if continuing to lose the last 3 games of the season.

A blow for Fiorentina.   It’s Juventus to open the score in the 39th minute silencing the fans at the Artemio Franchi.   The headed assist by midfielder Paul Pogba to forward Mario Mandzukic defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper with a left footed in the bottom left corner.

Fiorentina equalizing for the 1-1 in the 81st minute after an error by defender Leonardo Bonucci.   It’s Fiorentina forward Nikola Kalinic to profit from the error defeating Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon with a right footed shot despite his super stretch in the bottom right corner.  Nothing to do, but the ball going inside all the way.   The assist is by forward Mauro Zarate.

Oh well, things not working out for Fiorentina because Juventus react quickly and take the lead again!  Yep, 2 minutes after Kalinic’s goal, and there you go.   It’s forward Alvaro Morata to take care of business following a corner defeating goalkeeper with a  right footed shot in the bottom left corner.

Fiorentina having the chance to equalize again after Referee Paolo Tagliavento gave them a penalty conceded by midfielder Juan Manuel Cuadrado.  Incredible so, forward Nikola Kalinic failing to convert the penalty because “Super Buffon” saves the penalty! Yep,  the ball going to the right bottom corner and there arriving Buffon to deny Kalinic the chance to equalize.
