Paulo Dybala’s goals in the first leg ultimately did the damage but he followed it up with another solid display against Barcelona on Wednesday.

“We’re delighted,” said La Joya post-match. “This is a great achievement. What a night for us.”

Juventus barely gave the hosts a sniff.

“It wasn’t easy tonight given Barcelona’s history of comebacks. We were solid and keeping a clean sheet against them is no mean feat,” continued the striker.

“We all wanted Barcelona before the quarter-finals,” revealed Dybala when asked about the draw for the last four.

“I’m not sure now. We don’t have a preferred opposition so let’s see who we get.”

Juve’s players showed cool heads throughout the 90 minutes – none more so than Juan Cuadrado.

“This is a huge achievement,” said the Colombian after a goalless draw sealed a place in the Champions League semi-finals.

“We came here knowing we’re a top side and we fully deserve this. This win came down to desire, determination and hard work from everyone.

“We produced what we worked on in training and what matters is we’re through.

“We’ll take whoever we get in the draw,” concluded the winger.
