Netherlands won the UEFA EURO 2024 Round of 16 on Tuesday 2 July 2024 at the Allianz Stadium in Munich, Germany. The Netherlands reached its first European Championship quarterfinal in 16 years. Great performance from the Netherlands who went through thanks to Cody Gakpo’s goal and Donyell Malen’s brace. After taking the lead in the first half, they consolidated the result by continuing to make plays and dangerous moves forward, both from the right wing, Dumfries above all.
Romania has won only once in 14 past meetings against the Netherlands, losing 10. Romania only success was a Euro 2008 qualifier, won 1-0 in Constanta.

Stats before the game: This will be only the second ever meeting in a major tournament (World Cup/EURO) between Romania and the Netherlands, after the Dutch won 2-0 in the group stage of EURO 2008. Romania have won just one of 14 matches against the Netherlands in all competitions (D3, L10), losing their last four after winning 1-0 in European Championship qualifying in October 2007. Romania also won scored only three goals in these 14 matches, conceding 29.
