Inter, typically strong defensively, appeared unusually vulnerable, allowing two goals and lacking their usual composure. The last time Genoa triumphed over the Nerazzurri in the league was on February 17, 2018, when they won 2-0 at the Ferraris, thanks to an own goal by Andrea Ranocchia and a strike from Goran Pandev.
