APPIANO GENTILE – Hernanes spoke to Inter Channel’s Roberto Scarpini about the Nerazzurri’s pre-season and their desire to have a great campaign. “Our first match went well. Now we have the second leg of our Europa League tie and then the Torino game”, said the Brazilian midfielder.

When it was pointed out how much desire Inter appear to be showing, The Prophet was in no doubt: “I not only see the side’s great desire to perform well but I feel it too. I want to be focused, never give up and constantly perform. I also plan to prepare so I can always give everything. The whole team wants to prepare so we can give our all in every game.”

A quick word on his position: “My strength is shooting from distance. I need to make more late runs. That’s something I’m working on. I like being asked to be a big part of our play. I want to do my bit for the team.”

Finally, his hopes for the season: I’m very positive and confident about the season.” Prophetic words indeed.
