Juan Jesus: “Heart and fighting spirit”

< ![CDATA[

MILAN – Brazilian defender Juan Jesus had a chance to give his take on the game as he spoke to Inter Channel.

“We did everything we had worked on during the week, and today you saw a team with heart and fighting spirit. We have to keep up this level of hunger. Then the results come. In my opinion Napoli didn’t deserve to draw because we did everything to win, but that’s the way the game goes unfortunately,” he began.

“Today we saw that we have to give our all. A 1,000 per cent, not just 100. We have to win and come back like before. When the San Siro sings like that it really charges us up. I even got a bit emotional and it gave me chills. We need fans like that. They’re our 12th man. If they keep supporting us like that we’ll always play great matches.

“We also tried to move the ball around well. Although we were finding space Napoli were always compact, with two lines of four. But the team did a lot, which is what counts.

“It’s a pleasure for me to be back with the national team, even in a period of so many changes. However, I have to think of Inter first. Should Brazil call me up then I’ll be happy because it will mean I’ve done well with Inter.

“Am I happy? Yes, because for our second goal I passed the ball to Dodo, who then passed it to Hernanes [laughing].”

Dodo: “With the fans we can do great things”

MILAN – Following tonight’s draw between Inter and Napoli, Dodo was interviewed by Inter Channel.

“We did well. We had them back on their heels in the first half. It was a great match, and an intense one. There’s a lot of talk about the big sides, but both teams really played a good match. They were positioned well and we did a good job ourselves. It could be the turning point. We really hope so,” stated the Brazilian.

“We also had two unlucky matches. Today we had to make up for them. We really showed a lot of character. The stadium? The fans responded well, which is what we wanted: all of us, together. Together we can do great things. The president talked to us about it and showed his support. This also helped us.”

Obi: “Always available to the team”

< ![CDATA[

MILAN – Inter Channel’s first guest after the match against Napoli was Joel Obi, a starter this evening: “We worked really hard this week. I had to be ready in the case that Yuto couldn’t make it, so I was all set to go. I had done it in the past so it was no problem for me. We worked really hard these last two weeks, even when the international players were away. I had to come up against Britos, and Ranocchia against Insigne.”

The Nigerian then had a few words for the fans: “We really have to thank our fans for supporting us until the end today. It showed in our reaction, and we really wanted the result. Every now and then I would move centrally, but my team-mates also helped me to do my best. It’s always important to be ready, available for the team and give your all. It’s not a problem to have to cover so many roles. When I’m on the pitch I always give everything I can.”

Hernanes: “Important to react”

< ![CDATA[

MILAN – Hernanes spoke to Sky Sport Italia after the Napoli game. “Sometimes you have to pull it out of the bag to turn around a difficult situation,” the Brazilian started.

“It was important to do well today. We reacted and our season starts now. Results come more easily when the atmosphere is a more positive one. Napoli are a great team, let’s not forget that,” continued Hernanes.

“We couldn’t afford to play poorly today. Perhaps we fell back a bit in the second half after putting so much effort in during the first 45 minutes. Sometimes it’s hard to maintain that for an entire match,” he concluded.
