This is it! This is the due for the leadership! Napoli is the new sole leader of the Serie A after defeating Inter at the San Paolo Stadium! Napoli reaching 31 points overtaking the first position while sending Inter to the second position.
What a start! Napoli opening the score in the 2nd minute! Hello, hello, talking about being motivated. It is forward Gonzalo Higuain to score defeating Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist is by José Maria Callejón. This is the 11th goal of the season by Higuain.
Things complicating for Inter. Referee Orsato giving a red card to defender Yuto Nagatomo after getting a second yellow card in the 44th minute. Nagatomo committed a foul on Napoli midfielder Allan bringing him down. Inter remaining with 10 players.
Bam, bam, bam.. what a nightmare for Inter losing the leadership! Yep, Napoli increasing the score in the 62nd minute with the one and only Higuain proving to be Inter’s worst verdugo.

Inter shortening the distance by scoring the honor goal in the 67th minute with forward Adem Ljajic defeating Napoli goalkeeper with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner.
There are 78 precedents between Napoli vs Inter including in Serie A and Coppa Italia. Stats showing Napoli with 37 wins, 22 draws, and Inter with 19 wins. Napoli scoring 93 goals and Inter scoring 74 goals.
Chances for Inter to defeat Napoli at the San Paolo are low considering their last victory was back in October 18, 1977 with a result of Napoli 0 – 2 Inter. Last draw as on February 4, 2015 with a 2-2. The last time Napoli defeated Inter was on February 4, 2015 in Coppa Italia with a 1-0 result.
