Here are the declarations of AC Milan Coach Filippo Inzaghi after the Serie A Week 7 match, Hellas Verona 1 -3 AC Milan on Sunday 19 October 2014 at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy.
AC Milan Coach Filippo Inzaghi
“I’m very happy because this week I insisted on the importance of a good start and in the first 20 minutes we pressed high up. I think it’s been our best match, it gives me lots of hope, this side is continuing to grow. Abbiati went into the match after a positive period, I think he deserved to play, he had a brilliant match. I’ve known him for years, he deserves all the compliments. Honda gives great performances, it’s rare that he makes a mistake in front of goal, he’s very unselfish and he deserves all the praise he is receiving. We study certain plays at Milanello and I am happy that they worked for the goals, this is satisfying for the coach. I’m happy to see the team following myself and the coaching staff. The plays we practiced paid off and this will help the side see that we’re working well.”

Here are the declarations of AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani after the Serie A Week 7 match, Milan’s 3-1 victory away to Hellas Verona on Sunday 19 October 2014 at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy.
CEO ADRIANO GALLIANI
“It’s a victory with lots of positive outcomes. There were many positives from the great performance by Abbiati, Honda now on 6 goals. Keisuke Honda and El Shaarawy are great wide players while Torres always makes the right movements. Rami with the assist for Honda’s second goal. The two centre backs did well. I don’t like to talk about the future. I know we have 14 points from 7 games and it’s a good average. We have a good side that can do well. Alex is extraordinary, he’s a rock. I tried to buy Fernando Torres in 2002, but they wouldn’t sell him, while I also tried to get Alex in 2005. El Shaarawy only said nice things; I’m afraid of the players that don’t want to play. I’m not shocked if I see disappointment from a player as he leaves the pitch, it’s always happened, but nowadays there are lots of means that capture everything a player does.”

Hellas Verona failing to celebrate another victory against AC Milan at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. It’s a precious away victory for AC Milan not only to climb the Serie A Standing, but also breaking the tabu. Last season, Verona had a party celebrating their return to Serie A after 11 years and defeating AC Milan in Week 1 with a 2 -1 thanks to the goals by forward Luca Toni while for Milan the goal by Poli.
This season, things starting bad for Verona with the own goal by defender Rafael Marques in the 21st minute while attempting to clear the cross by AC Milan defender Ignazio Abate and instead hits the ball badly scoring against his own goalkeeper! Making matters worst for Verona, ending in a bad way after Referee Paolo Valeri gives a Red Card to defender Rafael Marquez for a second yellow card in the 93rd minute after a foul on midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura.
The last time AC Milan defeated Hellas Verona in Verona was back in the 2001-2002 season with a 1-2 seeing the goals by Muti, Filippo Inzaghi, and Andrea Pirlo. Milan now jumping to the 4th position.
In the 27th minute, the party for AC Milan gaining momentum with forward Keisuke Honda! Yep, there it is the combo El Shaarawy-Honda doing wonders for coach Filippo Inzaghi. El Shaarawy providing the assist to Honda defeating Hellas Verona goalkeeper with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner. It’s the 5th goal this season for Honda.
Let the party continues…. Keisuke Honda after his goal against Hellas Verona to lead the Rossoneri for the victory.
In the 56th minute, another jewel by Keisuke Honda freezing Hellas Verona. This time the assist is by defender Adil Rami following a fast break to Honda towards the center. Honda seeing his golden moment smacking a left footed shot defeating Verona goalkeeper in the bottom left corner. Honda becoming now top scorer along Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 6 goals each. Way to go for Honda gaining fans almost in every game by showing his worth to those who criticized him before labeling him as just a “marketing player.” Say no more, Honda scoring 6 goals in 7 games……. and counting…

Precedents are even… Out of the 24 games at the Bentegodi Stadium, 8 wins for Hellas Verona, 8 wins for AC Milan and 8 draws. 67 goals scored with 33 goals by Hellas and 34 by AC Milan.

Good morning my friends! What a Sunday morning with pleasant surprise for Sassuolo! Yep. I am still surprised with the David and Goliath match between Sassuolo vs Juventus. Surely, headlines are just in awe with what Sassuolo forward Zaza did! What? Oh well, Zaza opening goal making Juventus tremble with super goalkeeper Consigli. Juventus only equalized with the goal by midfielder Paul Pogba and what’s the big deal? Oh well, hello, are you kidding me??? Juventus was “supposed” to win the game considering Sassuolo bieng the last team in the Serie A standing and “technically” inferior. Simply put, Sassuolo stopping Juventus with 19 points and now are only 1 point ahead of AS Roma with 18 points.
Coffee anyone? Please make it double espresso…. I love the headline on the super challenge between Inter vs Napoli at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. Mamma mia, what a game!!!! The two ex coaches face to face and pressure for Inter to win this home game… As far as AC Milan headlines… I don’t even want to think about it…. arguably, Milan still looking for the true forward Fernando Torres… Will Milan defeat Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium….. check the papers tomorrow….
