Salernitana not finding a way out. Salernitana was defeated at home and remained in the last position. The good news is for Empoli because the victory helped them leave the relegation zone.
Lazio got an away victory defeating Cagliari and reached 37 points, moving closer to the Champions League zone, while Cagliari remained second to last with only 18 points. Fiorentina are on a sprint race to climb to the top 6 positions. Fiorentina defeated Frosinone. AC Milan are not slowing down and get back to the race for the Scudetto. Milan keep the 3rd position with 52 points being -8 points below Inter and -1 below Juventus. Napoli failed and their chances to be among the top 4 is a mirage. The Italian champions need points to get closer to fourth place which means the Champions League. Now in ninth place and with their top scorer, Victor Osimhen, currently involved in the Africa Cup of Nations final between his Nigeria and the Ivory Coast.
