Genoa won the Serie A Week 36 game against Sassuolo on Sunday 12 May 2024 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genova, Italy. Sassuolo took the lead in the 31st minute. Andrea Pinamonti defeated Hellas Verona goalkeeper by converting a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The penalty was conceded by Koni De Winter after a foul on Armand Laurienté.

Genoa equalized in the 56th minute. Milan Badelj defeated Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli with a headed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Morten Thorsby following a corner conceded by Pedro Obiang.

Genoa overturned the result in the 63rd minute following an own goal by Marash Kumbulla.
