Genoa ended the Serie A Week 12 match against Como with a draw on Thursday 7 November 2024, at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa.  Genoa snatches a last-minute equalizer! Como must be feeling regret after having multiple opportunities to extend their lead in the second half, following Da Cunha’s first-half goal. They even had a Cutrone goal ruled out by VAR. Como took charge in the 17th minute when Lucas da Cunha netted a goal with a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner, assisted by Nico Paz. Pinamonti’s blunder in his own half led to a turnover, which Paz quickly exploited. He recovered the ball and set up Da Cunha, who struck a precise right-footed shot from the edge, beating Genoa goalkeeper Nicola Leali to score!

An unforgettable climax! In the 91st minute, Genoa pulled off a stunning equalizer, making it 1-1. Alessandro Vogliacco scored with a well-placed right-footed shot into the bottom left corner, outsmarting Como’s goalkeeper Pepe Reina. The assist was provided by Andrea Pinamonti, who skillfully headed the ball following a corner conceded by Marco Sala.
