Good morning my friends! Here are the front pages from Italy main Sports newspapers La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport, and Tutto Sport from Monday 1 June 2015.  Serie A 2014 – 2015 Season is over and headlines today giving us the final verdict.    Grab your cup of Coffee or tea, or even a snack and let’s share the latest news.

Love to see the headline from La Gazetta dello Sport  indicating “the last verdicts of the league.” I totally agree that it was a Super Lazio at the San Paolo Stadium defeating Napoli with a final result 2-4.   Lazio overtaking the 3rd position and qualifying for the Champions League Preliminary.   Napoli went down from the 3rd to the 5th position and will play in Europa League.  Incredible so, forward Gonzalo Higuain  helped the team to make a come back from a 0-2 to a 2-2, but then, Higuain failing to convert a penalty!!!!!  Oh well, guys, I know it’s painful, but the blame should not be given to Higuain, but the entire team, period.   Your take?

One headline making me happy is about the duel to get the throne of the goal.  Yep, we have 2 top scorers in the Serie A:  Hellas Verona Luca Toni and Inter forward Mauro Icardi reaching also 22 goals each.   Mamma mia, what a battle and both players can now celebrate.

Headline on the upcoming Champions League are just building up the enthusiasm.   The BBC made in Italy against the Barcelona attack.  The phenomenon of 120 goals.

Juve, a cage for Messi.  Saturday is the greatest final.  According to the Corriere dello Sport headline, coach Massimiliano Allegri has a plan to stop Leo Messi. Do you think Juventus can really stop Messi?   I do.

Headlines for Torino just a party time.  Torino scoring 5 goals against Cesena.

Hellas on home soil

Seven triumphs, four stalemates and seven defeats show how the Gialloblu have fared at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi this term

A spot-kick from former Bianconero Luca Toni and Eros Pisano’s own goal allowed Hellas Verona to kick off their Serie A campaign on home soil with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Palermo in mid-September.

Genoa were next to make the trip to the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi nine days later, pulling off a 2-2 draw in which current Juventus forward Alessandro Matri bagged a brace.

The Gialloblu immediately got back to winning ways at the start of the following month, loan signing Panagiotis Tachtsidis scoring a minute from the end in a 1-0 triumph against Cagliari.

Even though it seemed Hellas were becoming a tough nut to crack in front of their own faithful, Milan managed to become the first team to leave with all three points when they ran out 3-1 winners after the October international break.

Toni’s penalty then salvaged a 1-1 stalemate versus Lazio on Halloween weekend, before Fiorentina (2-1), Sampdoria (3-1) and Chievo (1-0) all recorded vital victories in the remaining matches of 2014. The latter result, decided by Alberto Paloschi’s goal nine minutes from time, was only the fifth top flight Derby della Scala.

Determined to put their derby day disappointment behind them, Andrea Mandorlini’s Gialloblu made it an unbeaten start to the new year by dispatching Parma (3-1) and Atalanta (1-0).

February proved an indifferent month as Hellas first suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Torino before then demonstrating their mettle against title challengers Roma in a 1-1 stalemate.

After Napoli were made to feel the force of the Gialloblu’s unpredictability in March, losing 2-0 courtesy of Toni’s brace, Mandorlini’s men subsequently let a three-goal lead slip, ultimately drawing 3-3 with Serie A strugglers Cesena.

Inter then came and conquered the Bentegodi with a 3-0 success, before Hellas edged a five-goal thriller against Sassuolo; Toni once again at the double to down the Neroverdi and ensure his side all but sealed their top flight survival for another season.

The beginning of May saw Udinese rule triumphant in a 1-0 win, with the Gialloblu claiming all three points during their following encounter: a 2-1 victory versus Empoli.

Despite having nothing to play for on Saturday evening, Hellas will attempt to register their tenth all-time Serie A success over Juventus when they lock horns with the newly-crowned champions in Veneto.

Don’t know if this is a good morning for you, but let me tell you headlines are just mind blowing with FIFA.   Incredible so, FIFA re-elects Josep Blatter as president despite all the corruption scandal going on.

Corriere dello Sport even calling it “the last shame, Fifa have re-elected Blatter!”   The Italian Football Federation (FIG) is supporting Platini.  Tutto Sport headline, just love it.. says Bla Bla Blatter!  In other words keep the bla bla bla…

Oh well, as for AC Milan transfer market… hello, hello, hello, bad news for President Silvio Berlusconi because despite he is saying that Ibrahimovic will come to Milan, the headline is all about the contrary.  “Ibra feezing Milan”  However, Berlusconi is still optimistic about coach Carlo Ancelotti.  Here is the situation, Ibrahimovic’s agent Raiola says no.   Simply put, Berlusconi not considering Filippo Inzaghi as a top level for Milan and most likely it is his last game today against Atalanta…. Your take?

As for Champions League headline, Elkann encouraging Juventus to defeat Barcelona.

Lovable headline!    Surely, hello, you got to be kidding.. We have the match Hellas Verona vs Juventus today and La Gazzetta dello Sport headlines rightly calling it “The throne of goal”  We have the face to face between Verona forward Luca Toni having 21 goals versus Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 20 goals…  plus tomorrow also the turn for Inter forward Mauro Icardi also with 20 goals to see who will be the top scorer of the Serie A.   Your favorite?

Headlines for Inter President Eric Thohir promising his Inter will be great next season.
