Italy vs. Germany: Azzurri complete pitch inspection at Stade de Bordeaux

After setting off from Montpellier on a chartered flight at 18:00 CEST, the Italy national team have arrived in Bordeaux where they will face Germany tomorrow in the quarter-final of Euro 2016 (ko 21:00 CEST / referee: Hungary’s Kassai). On arrival, the Azzurri immediately transferred to the Stade de Bordeaux for a quick pitch inspection at the stadium which will host tomorrow’s Germany game.

In the morning, the Azzurri squad put the finishing touches to their match preparations at the Bernard Gasset sports centre. After undergoing further treatment, Daniele De Rossi joined the rest of the squad for the second half of the session whilst Antonio Candreva continued to work towards recovering from the injury to his right thigh.

Azzurri train in Montpellier before leaving for Bordeaux at 18:00 CEST

Italy were put through their paces at the final training session in Montpellier before heading off to Bordeaux where they will face Germany tomorrow at 21:00 CEST in the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 with the Hungarian referee Kassai officiating.

After undergoing specialised treatment, Daniele De Rossi joined the rest of the squad for the second part of training at the Bernard Gasset centre. Antonio Candreva continued on his personal recovery programme following the injury to his right hamstring.

At 18:00 CEST, the squad will fly to Bordeaux on a charter flight before inspecting the Stade de Bordeaux’s pitch at 19:00 CEST. The stadium was specifically built for the tournament and it hosted its first match on 23 May 2015. Coach Antonio Conte and captain Gigi Buffon will then take part in a press conference at 19:15 CEST.

Nek fa il pieno di applausi a ‘Casa Azzurri’: “Questa Nazionale è pop-rock”

Tra due giorni a Bordeaux si giocherà l’attesissima sfida con la Germania, ma intanto a ‘Casa Azzurri’ si canta insieme a Nek. Il cantautore emiliano si è esibito questa sera davanti a circa 300 persone in occasione dell’evento organizzato in collaborazione con ‘Radio Italia’, il network di sola musica italiana partner ufficiale della Nazionale che domani alle 22 trasmetterà il concerto sulle sue frequenze e in streaming su radioitalia.it.

Dopo i concerti dei giorni scorsi di Enrico Ruggeri e Alex Britti e l’esibizione del comico Andrea Perroni, Nek ha fatto incetta di applausi con alcuni dei suoi maggiori successi, da ‘Fatti avanti amore’ a ‘Laura non c’è’, fino alla reinterpretazione del brano ‘Se telefonando’ di Mina. In prima fila anche il presidente federale Carlo Tavecchio, che gli ha regalato la maglia personalizzata della Nazionale.

Prima di salire sul palco Filippo Neviani, nome all’anagrafe di Nek, ha intervistato l’esterno azzurro Mattia De Sciglio, una simpatica chiacchierata di alcuni minuti che sarà pubblicata domani sui Social Media della Nazionale: “Sono contento che si stia prendendo  le sue soddisfazioni – ha dichiarato il cantautore commentando l’incontro con il difensore rossonero –  è giovane e ha tutte le carte in regola per essere un grande difensore come lo sono stati i suoi predecessori. E poi è un bravissimo ragazzo, il che non guasta”.

“Quest’Italia è pop-rock – ha aggiunto parlando della Nazionale di Antonio Conte – è come quegli animali che aspettano la preda nell’ombra per poi catturarla con la massima velocità. Sabato come tutti gli italiani sarò nervoso prima della partita. Di questa Germania si dice che è fortissima, soprattutto a centrocampo. Ma anche prima della Spagna era così. Consiglierei agli Azzurri di far vedere agli avversari la stessa forza, lo stesso entusiasmo visto contro gli spagnoli, mostrare che lottiamo su ogni palla, in modo che non affiorino le nostre debolezze e che i difetti diventino effetti sull’avversario”.
