Lazio win the Coppa Italia Round of 16 game defeating Udinese on Tuesday 18 January 2022 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Turin, Italy. Lazio will play the Coppa Italia Quarterfinal against AC Milan. Bad news for Udinese never defeating Lazio in the Italian Cup (1D, 2L) and have never scored more than one goal in a single match in the set. Udinese have not won an away match in the Italian Cup since January 2014 (2-1 against Milan in the quarter-finals); since then, one draw (with subsequent elimination on penalties against Napoli) and four defeats.
The only goal of the game arrived in the 106th minute. Forward Ciro Immobile defeating Udinese goalkeeper with a left footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Danilo Cataldi.

✅ Stats before the game. Lazio have lost only one of their last 26 home games in the Italian Cup (21W, 4N): the one by 0-1, against Juventus, in the quarter-finals, of the 2015/16 edition. The last elimination suffered by Lazio in the first knockout round of the Italian Cup dates back to January 2011, against Roma; since then, the biancocelesti have always passed the round on 10 occasions, in this phase of the competition.
After the successes against Ascoli and Crotone, Udinese could win three consecutive matches, in the Italian Cup, for the first time since 2014 (in that case, against Inter, Milan and Fiorentina). Udinese have not passed the round in the last four occasions in which they played in the first knockout round of the Italian Cup; in fact, the last participation of the Friulians in the quarter-finals of the national trophy dates back to the 2013/14 season.
