✅   Argentina won the Copa America Quarterfinals against Ecuador after penalty shootouts on Thursday 4 July 2024 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Argentina and Ecuador meet again 25 days after the friendly match won by Argentina 1-0. Argentina have won their matches against Peru, Chile, Canada, Guatemala, Ecuador, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Brazil so they’ll try to extend their winning streak with a victory over Ecuador.

Ecuador face Argentina after playing a draw against Mexico last Sunday extending their unbeaten streak to 2 matches. Ecuador has lost six of its previous seven games against Argentina, with their last win against Argentina in 2015 (2-0).

Argentina won penalty shootouts with Nicolás Otamendi converting the winner penalty.
