Hello my friends. Here is Italy Serie PREVIEW for Week 8 – Matchday 8 on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October 2014.  I hope you are doing well and following the games.  Wow, amazing, we might see a turning point in the race for the Scudetto, at least for this week!   Really?  Yep!   There is only 1 point difference between Juventus and AS Roma the two main contenders neck to neck.

Get this one, last week Sassuolo stopped Juventus managing a 1-1 draw at the Mapei Stadium.   Juventus reaching 19 points while AS Roma crushed Chievo Verona at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium  reaching 18 points resulting in the sacking of coach Eugenio Corini.    Here is the situation.  Juventus playing the home game against Palermo while Roma playing the away game against Sampdoria.  On paper, Juventus favorite to win while Roma will have to really challenge Sampdoria who are by themselves in the 3rd position.    You bet Sampdoria won’t back down and we expect a fierce game…   Sampdoria risking to go down to the 4th position in case of losing the match and AC Milan defeating Fiorentina!!!!! Sampdoria (15 points), AC Milan (14 points)

Oh my gosh… Can you imagine what will happen if Palermo also draw with Juve? Oops… pressure is for Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri to win the match after their lost in Champions League against Olympiacos.

This round we have the debut of new Chievo Verona coach Rolando Maran playing the home game against Genoa.

Oh my gosh… wait, just before I pause for a break..  There is much expectation for CESENA vs INTER. Why? Hum, you’ve got to be kidding, hello!   It’s chaos for Inter after the iconic ex president Massimo Moratti left the Club along with his son Angelomario who was the vice president.  Fans contesting the team under the leadership of President Eric Thohir.   Inter fans contested the team also on Thursday at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium because they were not even able to defeat Saint Etienne in the Europa League ending with a draw 0-0.

  • The top scorer up to Round 6: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez and AC Milan Keisuke Honda with 6 goals.

Serie A tickets

Another hot, high tension match is NAPOLI vs HELLAS VERONA.   Napoli coach Rafael Benitez under heavy pressure after the fans even attacked the pullman following the lost to Young Boys in the Europa League.  Napoli risking big time following to the 7th position with 11 points just like Hella Verona.  It’s a direct match and Napoli fans would be praying for a convincing victory….. and what about Verona fans? They will also pray to cause an upset at the San Paolo Stadium to claim the 3 points.

The final match at a high intensity will be AC Milan vs Fiorentina!!!  Pressure for both teams to win the game, but Milan with the obligation to win or win… Bottom line, set your alarm and let’s roll the ball…..

A direct match for salvation!    Parma living a nightmare by falling down to the very last position of the Serie A table!  Yep. Parma are in the 20th position while Sassuolo also desperate for a victory to escape from the relegation zone.  1 point difference and the need to win is  not an option, but “a must win.”  Parma are just in disbelief finding themselves in the rock rock bottom, such a bad start since the 2006-2007 season.

Sassuolo with higher motivation after they became protagonists by stopping Juventus  fast race for the Scudetto.  Sassuolo managing a draw against Italy’s Champions and will look to set the tone of the game for the victory.

There is only 1 precedent Parma vs Sassuolo with Parma winning  3-1.  Will Sassuolo cause the upset at the Ennio Tardini Stadium?

Wake up call for AS Roma after their humiliating defeat in Champions League defeated by Bayern Munich with a 7-1 at the Olimpico!!!  Roma must archive the defeat and start the flight from the ashes..  the Ave Fenix…

Inter “must win this home game” to see the light at the end of the tunnel on what is a clear crisis.   Cesena will look to defeat Inter and even a draw will be good while for Inter would be a disaster.    Here is the thing.  If Cesena defeat Inter, they will both have 9 points!!!!!!!  inter risking even to go down to the 10th position!!!

Stats in favor of Inter.  Out of the 12 games Cesena vs Inter, Cesena never defeating Inter!  Inter winning 8 games and 4 draws.  Will this be the first time cor Cesena to win?

Hello my friends.  It’s another bad morning!  How can I say good morning when Italian football is  just having a bad time in the Champions League?   Come on, not only AS Roma were humiliated by Bayern Munich with 7-1, but Juventus also losing against Olympiacos 1-0!  Qualification in danger for Roma and Juventus to qualify to the next round.   Does it mean Serie A is that bad compared to La Liga, Bundesliga????

The headline giving me hope to see a brighter day is the one about the 4 Serie A teams playing today in Europa League.: Inter vs Saint Etienne,  Torino vs HJK, Young Boys vs Napoli, and Paok vs Fiorentina.  So, are we in for Coffee or tea?  I need a strong double espresso.

I hope you have a good day and let’s hope to see our Serie A teams doing better in Europa League today.  I am ready with my chips, and you?

Zaza scoring for Sassuolo and Paul Pogba equalizing for Juventus.

Juventus reaching 19 points while AS Roma defeated Chievo Verona at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium with goals by Mattia Destro, Ljajic, and Francesco Totti reaching 18 points.   Totti scoring his 237th goal after converting a penalty.  Simply put, there is only 1 point difference now and the Scudetto is still handy…..

Bad news for Chievo because after the defeat with Roma on Saturday 18, the club sacked coach Eugenio Corini.  New coach is Rolando Maran as announced on Sunday 19 October.

Talking about the awaited Inter vs Napoli!  Mamma mia what a rollercoaster!    Inter struggling and being down after Napoli forward Jose Maria Callejon opened the score…  agonizing final minutes because the match ended with a 2-2..     Desperate moments, a mega battle seeing Napoli scoring in the 90th minute for the 2-1 , but Inter not giving up and bam there you go in the 91st minute Hernanes equalizing for the 2-2.
