It’s an uphill battle for Cesena for salvation.  A defeat will sink Cesena while Fiorentina looking to win the home game hoping to reach a spot in Europa League next season.

Fiorentina opening the score in the 31st miute.   Referee Doveri giving a penalty to Fiorentina conceded by Cesena midfielder Gaby Mudingayi after a foul on midfielder Borja Valero.    Taking the penalty spot is Josip Ilicic who without a problem converts the penalty defeating Cesena goalkeeper Federico Agliardi with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner.  Immediate celebration  by Ilicic and President Della Valle from the tribune.

Cesena in deep trouble!   In the 35th minute, there he comes again. Josip Ilicic  scoring this time with a right footed shot leaving goalkeeper Agliardi in desperation while observing the ball in the bottom left corner.

Fiorentina rocking big time and there it comes the third goal!   In the  56th minute it is forward Alberto Gilardino to defeat goalkeeper Agliardi witha right footed shot in the bottom right corner.  The assist is by midfieler Jasmin Kurtic.

The honor goal for Cesena in the 59th  minute with midfielder Alejandro Rodriguez defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto with a right footed shot in the top right corner.   The assist is by  Gregoire Defrel.
