MILAN – With 13 goals to his name, 11 in Serie A and 2 in the TIM Cup, Carlos Bacca has scored the most goals from a Colombian forward in the Italian game.
Before his record, Faustino Asprilla managed 12 goals (10 in Serie A, 2 in the Italian Cup) for Parma in 1993-1994 while Luis Muriel netted 11 times in Serie A in 2012-2013 for Udinese.

AC MILAN – INTER: POST-DERBY FALL-OUT

MILAN – Last season, Alex didn’t get off the mark until the third from last round away at Sassuolo. This season meanwhile, and after 22 rounds, the Brazilian defender has found the back of the net twice following goals against Frosinone and Inter.

M’Baye Niang has now scored 6 goals this season, split equally between league and cup. The Frenchman has punished Crotone, Sampdoria and Carpi in the TIM Cup while in Serie A he added a goal in last night’s derby to his brace versus Sampdoria earlier in the season.

From a collective standpoint, and compared to the 2012-2013 season, in which Milan came third, this season’s side are not far off the pace. Three years ago after 22 rounds, Milan were on 37 points, just one point more than the team’s current total of 36 points.

#STATISTICS: PALERMO-MILAN for Serie A Week 23

The Barbera set to host the 11th meeting between the two teams since 2005.

MILAN – This Wednesday’s league encounter between Palermo-Milan will mark the 11th match between the two teams at the Barbera since the year 2005.

In this fixture last season, played on Easter Saturday, Alessio Cerci was on target in what was his only goal during his time with the Rossoneri jersey.

Three years prior, and in October 2012, the club captain Riccardo Montolivo opened his account for Milan in a 2-2 draw against the Rosanero.

In March 2012 meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted his last hat-trick for the club in a 4-0 victory at the Barbera.

From 2007-2011, the Barbera proved to be an unhappy hunting ground for Milan losing 4 years in a row. In the past three meetings though, the Rossoneri have overturned the trend, winning twice and drawing once.
