Hello my friends. Here is the 2017-2018 Serie A Week 37 PREVIEW / Thirty-seventh Round on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 May 2018. There is only 1 more game to end the season with 3 available points after this round.

Let’s summarize where we stand …..  Juventus is the sole leader reaching 91 points.  The Scudetto seems closer, but, it’s not over year. Napoli following closely in the second position with 85 points.    Here is the situation.  Juventus can win the Scudetto if they defeat AS Roma at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium despite the result of Sampdoria vs Napoli at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Serie A tickets

The third position is still open which means securing the direct qualification to the Champions League next season.    Roma will secure the 3rd position if they defeat Juventus.   Lazio can take over the 3rd position if they defeat Crotone at the Stadio Ezio Scida.   Inter can jump to the 4th position if Lazio lose the match and Inter defeat Sassuolo at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

3 Roma Roma 73 36 22 7 7 32
4 Lazio Lazio 71 36 21 8 7 41
5 Inter Milan Inter Milan 69 36 19 12 5 36

The Europa League zone is also open.     The 5th and 6th position qualify.   Inter already qualifying, but their target is still to make it to the Champions League.   The 6th position is open for AC Milan, Atalanta, and Fiorentina.    Here is why the match Atalanta vs AC Milan at the Atleti Azzurri D’Italia Stadium will be a brave battle.

5 Inter Milan Inter Milan 69 36 19 12 5 36
6 AC Milan AC Milan 60 36 17 9 10 10
7 Atalanta Atalanta 59 36 16 11 9 19
8 Fiorentina Fiorentina 57 36 16 9 11 13

The relegation zone is also a tough battle for survival.   Mathematically speaking,  Hellas Verona and Benevento are already relegated.  Spal, Chievo Verona, Crotone, Udinese, and Cagliari will battle to remain in the Serie A next season.

14 Spal Spal 35 36 7 14 15 -21
15 Chievo Chievo 34 36 8 10 18 -25
16 Crotone Crotone 34 36 9 7 20 -25
17 Udinese Udinese 34 36 10 4 22 -17
18 Cagliari Cagliari 33 36 9 6 21 -30
