Atalanta lost the Serie A Week 27 game on Sunday 3 March 2024 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy. This is a painful home defeat for Atalatna who were leading. After the first 45 minutes by Atalanta with an overflowing Lookman, Bologna comes out on top in the second half thanks to the usual, splendid Zirkzee. The Dutchman first lights up for Saelemaekers who earns the penalty and then coolly scores the penalty. A few minutes later another leader of this group scores from distance: Ferguson decides it with a splendid goal. Bologna secured the 4th position.
Previously, Atalanta have won 38 of the 105 matches against Bologna in Serie A (28N, 39L), against no team has the Dea achieved more success in the tournament (38 also against Lazio).
Atalanta took the lead in the 29th minute. Ademola Lookman defeated Bologna goalkeeper from very close range with a right-footed shot to the center.

✅ Stats before the game: Bologna have won their last two league matches against Atalanta without conceding a goal, the Emilians could achieve three successes in a row against Dea in Serie A for the first time since the period between 1962 and 1963 with Fulvio Bernardini as coach; the last time the rossoblù recorded at least three clean sheets in a row against the Nerazzurri in the top division dates back to the period between 1977 and 1979 (four in that case). Atalanta has remained unbeaten in 11 of the last 12 home matches against Bologna in Serie A (8W, 3D), however losing the most recent one (2-0, on 8 April 2023), only once have the rossoblù won two consecutive away matches against the Dea in the tournament: between 1954 and 1955 with Giuseppe Viani at the helm. Atalanta have won the last seven games at the Gewiss Stadium in the league, in their history in Serie A they have never achieved eight home successes in a row. Bologna have won their last five league games, the Emilians have achieved at least six successes in a row only twice in their history in Serie A: six between April and May 1967 with Luis Carniglia as coach and 10 between November 1963 and February 1964 with Fulvio Bernardini at the helm.
