Benevento Coach Filippo Inzaghi called up the players for the retreat from Monday 17 to Sunday 30 August 2020 in Seefeld. The team and staff headquarters will be the Hotel Hocheder.  Benevento were promoted from the Serie B to play in the 2020-2021 Serie A Season  after winning the 2019-2020 Serie B.

Congratulations to the Italian Serie B team Benevento Calcio promoted to the Serie A with 7 games to spare.  Benevento defeated 1- 0 Juve Stabia on Monday 29 June 2020 and that victory give them the promotion.  It is so great to see Benevento Coach Filippo Inzaghi “Super Pippo” leading the team to the big league.   Inzaghi is an icon for his ex team AC Milan where he played as a forward and also coach.

  • Filippo Inzaghi took over Benevento 12 months ago on June 22, 2019.  Inzaghi not only leading Benevento to the Serie A, but also winning the 2019-2020Serie B.

Benevento were promoted to the Italian Serie A for the first time in their history three years ago.  Sadly, Benevento were relegated after just one season having lost their first 14 games and ending in the last position with 21 points and a negative goal difference of -51. Now, Benevento have the chance to do a better job in the Serie A with Coach Filippo Inzaghi.

The hero for Benevento is the ex-Cagliari forward Marco Sau scoring the only goal of the match to secure the victory and the promotion to the Serie A.

Up to Monday 29 June, Benevento have won 23 of their 31 league games and lost just once, having a +24-point advantage over Crotone and Cittadella.

Good news is that the Serie A will have two brothers coaching.  Yep, Filippo Inzaghi and his brother Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi.

Italy Head Coach of the Under-21 National Team Luigi Di Biagio announces his 23-man squad for the European Championship to be played in Italy for the first time from June 16 to June 30, 2019.

Hello, my friends. Here are the 2018-2019 Serie A Week 24 Results / Twenty-fourth Round on Friday 15, Saturday 16,  Sunday 17, and Monday 18 February 2019

Here is the current situation. Juventus with 66 points continue as the sole leader of the Serie A with a clear dominion.  The nightmare is for Frosinone because they remain in the relegation zone in the 19th position winning only 3 games this season.  Juventus defeated Frosinone with a 3-0.  A superb match for Cristiano Ronaldo providing an assist and scoring a goal.

A blow for Napoli on their quest for the Scudetto.  Napoli failed to win the home game at the San Paolo Stadium ending with a goalless draw Napoli 0 – 0 Torino.  This result sees Napoli with 53 points being -13 points below Juventus.  Simply put, it seems there is no longer  a two-way race, but just a one-way race for the Scudetto.  Unless,  Juventus start losing points, it seems Napoli will continue to see the Scudetto far and away.

Good news is for AC Milan winning the away game at the Atleti Azzurri D’Italia Stadium.  Milan defeating Atalanta with a 1-3 score.
