Atalanta crushed Everton who were looking to redeem themselves after losing the home game in Premier League against Tottenham with a 0-3. Yet, Atalanta giving a cold shower to Everton. Atalanta scoring the three goals in the first half.
It is Andrea Masiello to open the score in the 27th minute, the first Europa League goal. Masiello defeating Everton goalkeeper Marteen Stekelenburg with a right footed shot in the center following a corner conceded by Stekelenburg. Party started for Atalanta fans with this goal giving them the joy to experience what it feels to be in “Europa League.”
Atalanta fans were even delighted seeing their Captain Alejandro Gómez scoring too! In the 41st minute, Gomez delivering a right footed shot in the top right corner. The assist is by Andrea Petagna. Game on! The colors blue and black all over the stadium! Time for the “Papu dance”
