Atalanta suffered a blow losing the Serie A Week 29 game on Saturday 8 April 2023 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy. Bologna conquered full three points reaching 43 points to reach the eighth place overcoming Fiorentina. Atalanta sees the opportunity to secure fourth place vanish, remaining at 48 points. Bologna wins a game in which Atalanta holds the ball for long stretches, but never manages to overcome the wall erected by the Emilians. Motta’s team takes the lead at the start of the second half with Sansone and in the final they double up on the counterattack with Orsolini.
