Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella gave his take on the Europa League round-of-16 draw, which sees the Viola pitted against Roma: “It’s a shame to meet another Italian side, but by the same token, we knew there was a possibility it could happen.
“Roma are a strong team and we know them very well. It’s not the kindest of draws for us, especially because we’ve got a really challenging run of games coming up fast. The big positive is in the logistics of the match,” declared Montella.

Fiorentina v Roma in Europa League last 16!
Fiorentina are set for another all-Italian clash in the Europa League round of 16 after being pitted against Rudi Garcia’s Roma in today’s draw in Nyon.
Should the fixtures be confirmed, Vincenzo Montella’s men will host the Giallorossi at the Stadio Franchi on 12 March 2015 before heading down to the capital for the return leg on 19 March.
