Good news for Inter securing their place in next season’s Champions League 2023-24 after a 3-2 win over Atalanta. Inter have remained unbeaten in their last 9 home matches against Atalanta in Serie A (W6 D3): only between May 1964 and January 1985 did they do better (11 games in a row). Inter scored two goals in the first 3 minutes of play in a single Serie A match for the first time since 5 January 1941 against Roma. Atalanta conceded two in the first three minutes for the first time in the competition.
Milan obtained the second consecutive victory after the one against Sampdoria and arithmetically qualified for the next Champions League with one match before the end of the championship.
