Rigidity, lack of empathy, confusion in roles and hierarchies: the relationship hasn’t taken off and will be an element of evaluation for the club’s final choices. The team, however, isn’t rowing against and the case of Gatti stands out: feeling intermittent, but always on the pitch. Chiellini: “In 2015 a similar situation, Buffon got us out of trouble.”

👉Interview with Bianchi on the attack of the future
“Go Toro! Shpendi is the right bomber.”

The former Granata center forward: “He has strength, dynamism, and ranges everywhere. Among the youngsters, keep an eye on Atalanta’s Vlahovic.” Vanolli hammers the team to avoid drops in Monza. Ilic returns to the list.

👉Defeat on penalties (5-3). Thiago: “Shame.”

Empolazo

Juve nightmare: out of Coppa Italia and Champions League in seven days

Motta: “We must only apologize.” Decisive penalty kick errors of Vlahovic and Yildiz. Decisive Marianucci. Empoli in history.

👉Bologna-Milan recovery (20:45): Santiago Costa against Santiago Giménez
Here Dall’Ara, the derby of the Saints

Italiano looking for the fourth consecutive home win: he can take the sixth spot. Conceiçao under pressure picks Leao and Pulisic. Joao Felix on the bench.

👉3-5-2 again against Inter. Inzaghi has only two wingers, Doveri the referee.
Napoli, Conte plays it on the mirror

Front Page Tutto Sport, Thursday 27 February 2025

👉Inter towards the big match, amid unresolved cases and controversy
Lautaro-referees, Scudetto controversy

With a vocal proof of the “blasphemy” the captain’s disqualification would arrive, but after the challenge with the Azzurri. In the first leg, Conte-Marotta-De Laurentiis exchanged blows. Then Inzaghi blurted out. From the Senate: no growth decree, but green light for stadiums and betting.

👉Juve: incredible and humiliating defeat against Empoli.
Motta disaster

Horrible Bianconeri performance, except for a Thuram wonder goal. Then the Tuscans qualify on penalties, with mistakes from Vlahovic and Yildiz. The third target failed by Motta, who is at risk. “I feel shame, I hope for strong criticism, the fans were gentle, I apologize.” Empoli in the semis with Bologna: historic feat!

👉Leader Milinkovic Savic
There’s Vanja in the wood: “Toro will grow”

“Turnaround with a 4-2-3-1 system, we go ahead! I don’t think about criticism; I am just myself. I am the same as four years ago. The best penalty saved? Against Atalanta.”

👉Recovery and then Lazio: 180′ of fire
Milan needs a shock in Bologna for the Champions League.

Conceiçao’s team at the crossroads: fourth spot or revolution. Everyone on the brink, starting with the coach.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
AC Milan, 7th position with 41 points and a positive goal difference of +11
Bologna, 8th position with 41 points and a positive goal difference of +7

Bologna won the rescheduled Week 9 match with a 2-1 on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy.  Coach Vincenzo Italiano’s squad climbs the standings to 44 points, surpassing Milan and closing in on fourth place, which is crucial for Champions League qualification. Surely, it was a tough night for Milan as their dreams of reaching the European zone slipped further away.  With this win, Bologna now sits in 6th place, while Milan stays in 8th with 41 points. Ouch! The key contributions from Santiago Castro and Ndoye scoring for Bologna. Leao’s goal, which briefly put Milan ahead at 1-0, ultimately didn’t change the outcome.

Stats: Bologna has achieved a home victory over AC Milan in Serie A for the first time since March 10, 2002, with a score of 2-0, thanks to goals from Salvatore Fresi and Julio Cruz.

In the upcoming match, Bologna will take on Cagliari, while Milan is set to face Lazio.

The Rossoneri are looking to bounce back after a loss in Turin against Torino. Bologna is eager to recover from an unexpected defeat to Parma.

The match …

Milan took the lead in the 43rd minute when Rafael Leão, the Portuguese forward, found the back of the net with a left-footed shot aimed at the center. The assist came from Mexican forward Santiago Giménez, showcasing their impressive teamwork!

Image

In the 48th minute, Bologna brought the game back to a tie as Santiago Castro netted a goal with a right-footed shot from close range, placing it in the bottom right corner. Giovanni Fabbian provided the assist. The score is now Bologna 1 – 1 Milan.

Image

Bologna clinched the lead in the 82nd minute when Dan Ndoye netted a close-range goal with his right foot, thanks to an assist from Nicolò Cambiaghi. The score is now Bologna 2, Milan 1.

Stats before the game:

Milan has an impressive record against Bologna. They are unbeaten in their last 17 Serie A encounters, with 13 wins and 4 draws. The last time Bologna triumphed over Milan was on January 6, 2016, when they won 1-0 at the Meazza thanks to a goal from Emanuele Giaccherini. The Rossoneri have only experienced longer unbeaten streaks against three teams in the top flight: Catania (26), Chievo (25), and SPAL (26).

On the other hand, Bologna managed to secure a draw in their most recent match against Milan in Serie A, finishing 2-2 on January 27, 2024. They haven’t gone two consecutive matches without a loss against the Rossoneri since the 2011-2012 season, when they recorded two draws under coach Stefano Pioli.

Buy Serie A tickets

Excluding the first matchday, Bologna and Milan (both 41 points in the current championship) face each other in a match with exactly the same points in the standings for the first time since the 16th matchday of 2017/18 (21 points each in that case): the Rossoneri won 2-1 at the Meazza on that occasion.

Bologna have not found a home win against Milan in 18 consecutive games in Serie A (5D, 13P).  The last home win for the Rossoblu against the Diavolo dates back to 10 March 2002 (2-0, goals by Salvatore Fresi and Julio Cruz).  Only against Juventus (21, streak still ongoing) have the Emilians recorded a longer home streak without a win in the top flight.
After the defeat in the most recent match against Parma, Bologna could lose two games in a row in Serie A for the first time in over two years, or since January 2023 (against Roma and Atalanta in that case).

Bologna are unbeaten in 15 of their last 16 home league games (W7 D8).  Their only defeat in that period coming on December 30 against Hellas Verona. In addition, the Emilians have won their last three games at the Dall’Ara and have not achieved four consecutive home wins in Serie A since February 2024.
