Italian Soccer Serie A

Hello, my friends. Here are the 2019-2020 Serie A Week 29 RESULTS / Twenty-ninth Round on Tuesday 30 June, Wednesday 1, and Thursday 2 July 2020.

👉 Up to Serie A Week 29: There is a three-way race between Juventus (72), Lazio (68), and Inter (64).

The Serie A leadership remains the same.  Juventus reaching 72 points after defeating Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium with the goals by Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo and Douglas Costa.  Genoa scoring the honor goal with Andrea Pinamonti.  Juventus is +4 points ahead of Lazio with 68 points.    Genoa risking to go down in the relegation zone.

Lazio keeping up the pace with Juventus.  Lazio still believing to win the Scudetto being only -4 points below Juventus.   Lazio defeated Torino at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium.

⚽️ Serie A Top Scorer up to Week 29:
Lazio forward Ciro Immobile with 29 goals

Serie A tickets

SPAL failing to win the Serie A Week 29 home game against AC Milan at the Paolo Mazza Stadium.  SPAL struggling to win in the Serie A winning only 5 games this season.  AC Milan with the objective to be in the top 6 teams.   SPAL had the victory until the 94th minute when the own goal by Francesco Vicari gave AC Milan the draw to save one point.  Surely, it is a cold shower for SPAL who almost got a much needed victory.  SPAL  remain in the relegation zone in the 19th position.

Atalanta shining big time at the Gewiss Stadium defeating Napoli with a 2-0.

Bologna failing to win the home game against Cagliari at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy.  Bologna took the lead in the 45th minute and Cagliari grabbing the draw in the 46th minute sharing one point each.

What a slap for AS Roma falling at the Olimpico!!!  Udinese conquered the Olimpico with an important away victory beating the Roman gladiators with a 0-2.  Great win for Udinese reaching 31 points climbing to the 14th position.

Italian Soccer Serie A

Congratulations to the Italian Serie B team Benevento Calcio promoted to the Serie A with 7 games to spare.  Benevento defeated 1- 0 Juve Stabia on Monday 29 June 2020 and that victory give them the promotion.  It is so great to see Benevento Coach Filippo Inzaghi “Super Pippo” leading the team to the big league.   Inzaghi is an icon for his ex team AC Milan where he played as a forward and also coach.

  • Filippo Inzaghi took over Benevento 12 months ago on June 22, 2019.  Inzaghi not only leading Benevento to the Serie A, but also winning the 2019-2020Serie B.

Benevento were promoted to the Italian Serie A for the first time in their history three years ago.  Sadly, Benevento were relegated after just one season having lost their first 14 games and ending in the last position with 21 points and a negative goal difference of -51. Now, Benevento have the chance to do a better job in the Serie A with Coach Filippo Inzaghi.

The hero for Benevento is the ex-Cagliari forward Marco Sau scoring the only goal of the match to secure the victory and the promotion to the Serie A.

Up to Monday 29 June, Benevento have won 23 of their 31 league games and lost just once, having a +24-point advantage over Crotone and Cittadella.

Good news is that the Serie A will have two brothers coaching.  Yep, Filippo Inzaghi and his brother Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi.
