🏆👉 Cameroon caused an upset winning the FIFA World Cup Group G against Brazil on Friday 2 December 2022 at the Lusail National Stadium in Lusail, Qatar. Cameroon, orphans of goalkeeper Onana who returned to Europe after disagreements with coach Song. Brazil, despite losing, ended in the first place. Brazil will face South Korea in the Round of 16. Cameroon ended their tournament with their heads held high.  A defeat that certainly raises some questions about a Brazil stuffed with second lines, which gives in to a courageous Cameroon capable of closing its World Cup with great satisfaction. Brazil hadn’t lost a group stage match since the 1998 edition and today they were punished by the experience of a great striker.

Incredible. Totally unexpected by many. Yet, miracles happen. Cameroon scored the winner goal in the 92nd minute. Crashing Brazi’s objective to keep full points and losing their first game in this World Cup. The hero is Vincent Aboubakar with a super goal defeating Brazil goalkeeper with a headed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Jerome Ngom Mbekeli.

🏆👉 South Korea won the FIFA World Cup Group H turning over the result after being down by a goal on Friday 2 December 2022 at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar. It’s just an incredible achievement by South Korea which at the last gasp found the right action to obtain a historic qualification. After the immediate disadvantage thanks to Horta, South Korea overturned Portugal with an all in all deserved 2-1 and arrived only in added time with Son’s first real play of his World Cup. South Korea is in the round of 16! The 2-1 against Portugal qualifies the Asians and eliminates South American giants Uruguay for the highest number of goals scored.

Portugal failed to win all three group stage matches in their history, after 1966 and 2006.

  •  Italian Serie A players called up in this game

🇵🇹 Portugal:  Rui Patricio (Roma), Rafael Leão (Milan)

🇰🇷 South Korea:  Kim Min-jae (Napoli)

Portugal opened the score in the 5th minute. Ricardo Horta defeated South Korea goalkeeper Kim Seung-Gyu with a right-footed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Diogo Dalot.

South Korea equalized for the 1-1 in the 27th minute. Kim Young-Gwon defeated Portugal goalkeeper from very close range with a left-footed shot to the center following a corner conceded by Pepe.

Stats before the game. The only precedent between South Korea and Portugal dates back to the 2002 World Cup, with Korea winning 1-0 in a group stage match. That result allowed the Asians to win their group, knocking Portugal out of the competition. Portugal’s only defeat in five previous matches against Asian sides at the World Cup came in 2002 against Korea: three wins and a draw for the Portuguese in the other four ties. Korea have won just five of their 23 World Cup matches against European teams (D6 L12): each success has come against a different national team (Poland, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Germany).
South Korea have lost five of their last seven World Cup matches (W1 D1), as many defeats as they had in their previous 16 matches in the competition (W5 D6). Previously, the Asian national team only won their third group match in 2002 (against Portugal) and 2018 (against Germany).

🏆👉 SOUTH KOREA(4-3-3): S. Kim; M.H. Kim, M.J. Kim, Y. Kim, K. Kwon; I. Hwang, Jung, K. Lee; J. Lee, H. Son; Cho.

Head Coach: Bento.

🏆👉 Lineup PORTUGAL (4-3-3): Costa; Cancelo, Pepe, Dalot, Antonio Silva; Ruben Neves, Joao Mario, Matheus Nunes; Vitinha, Cristiano Ronaldo, Horta.

Head Coach: Fernando Santos.
