Germany ending the UEFA Euro 2020 Group F Matchday 3 against Hungary with an agonizing draw on Wednesday 23 June 2021 at the Arena Munich. The draw is enough for Germany to secure the qualification to the Round of 16 while Hungary is eliminated. Germany and Hungary’s only previous game at a major tournament was in the 1954 World Cup. They faced each other twice: in the group stages (8-3 to Hungary) and in the final (3-2 to West Germany), scoring a total of 16 goals.
